Good morning all. 

I’m currently 7 weeks pregnant and wanted to share my hug levels for some feedback. I’m kind of worried but I’m not sure if I should be. I’m having mild symptoms such as tender breast and extremely hungry all the time. Anyway would love feedback.

I spoke with a doctor and was told that hcg level can stop doubling at 4 wks and so far it looks like a viable pregnancy.

HCG should double every 48 hours in early PG.  Until around 6/7 weeks when you should be able to see a heartbeat on an internal ultrasound and then that is used to determine viability.  I'm not sure why your doctor decided to check your HCG once a week randomly as that makes no sense to me.  So, if you have questions or concerns, call your doctor to discuss.

Thank you for responding. I actually did the hcg levels for myself, but couldn’t go every 48 hours. I’ve had 2 miscarriages (twins 14wks and another at 8wks) 10 years ago and haven’t been pregnant since. Over the past 10 years, I’ve tried fertility treatments and had surgery but never got pregnant. After surgery, I was told to try for a year and after that scar tissue will develop. Honestly, I didn’t think I could get pregnant. So to be pregnant now, I’m excited, scared, and nervous at the same time. I had my first ultrasound today, 2 sacs but only one baby with a HR of 125. I’m grateful.
