My two month old has been a great eater since day 1. Lately when she unlatches, she starts screaming at the top of her lungs and thrashing - especially at night between 4pm-4am. Any ideas what’s causing that or why the sudden change?
Have you noticed a decrease in your supply at all or tried expressing some milk with your hands when this happens to see if you’re producing in the moment? I know supply decreases as the day goes on and we have the most milk in the morning. Maybe during the later period there’s not as much to fill her?
If you are producing milk during this time and are full, it might be gas pains. Maybe try burping more often during this time or if it is lower gas pain I would recommend baby Frida gas products. I used the windi on both of my girls and while at first it seemed a little weird it was a lifesaver and really helped my babies get relief. They also have a gas relief balm thing that you rub on babies belly to help. Those are the two things I can think of possibly being the issue. I hope this helps you figure it out and your baby (and you) gets some relief!
My baby was doing this! I tried a couple new burping techniques and found that the screaming is usually because he has a burp I couldn’t get out and nursing more is painful but he is still hungry
Re: Baby Screaming at Boob
The key for me when this happens has been pumping for 1-2 min before feeding to soften for an easier latch.
