Question on how to prolong my medical leave

Hello all, I have a question and need some advice. I’m allowed up to 14 eeeks of maternity leave, but my doctor only gave me 6 weeks. The only way for me to get the full 14 weeks is if my doctor writes a note allowing it. What can I say to her in order for her to allow me the extra time. She says I need to have a good reason medically, but I feel like 6 weeks is just too soon. Any ideas please?
