My lo is about 7 months old. He has lost interest in most earlier baby toys. He has 3 types of toys he likes: cuddly, puzzle-type, and ones he can make "talk". I recently picked up a couple little people toys and he loves them. He started by exploring the toys themselves and now makes them "talk" to eachother, makes the pterodactyl fly, and makes the people drive in the car. Of course he also bangs the toys and puts them in his mouth. He will play that way for hours before switching to something else. Nothing else has grabbed his attention like this besides books. The toys that he can take apart and put back together are recommended 18 months + and the little people are 12 months +. He was bored all the time so we just started trying stuff until we figured out his interests. My biggest concern is the little people. I think it's bc they don't look like any other toys he plays with, but if that is what gets him playing, then I'm open to it. I just want to make sure he is safe. I don't think they're too small. I just want to make sure I'm making the right choice here by letting him play with toys that are ahead of where I expected him to be.
