Exhaustion at 4 1/2 weeks?!

I slept for 3 hours yesterday after only being out of the house for a few hours!
I slept through all my alarms this morning and through my first client. I got plenty of sleep the night before too. Is this normal so early in a pregnancy?

  • Might be twins, babe

  • I’ve been the same with being constantly tired since 4 weeks, now 6. Can you confirm if it was twins or not??? I was wondering the same!
  • I had exhaustion that early too, although not quite that extreme. I never slept through my alarms, but I did take some naps and I never normally do that. And for me it’s not because it’s twins - I’m only pregnant with one
  • I am experiencing the same exhaustion. This is my 5th pregnancy and I don’t remember being this exhausted with my others lol. Tired, yes, but I slept 10 hours last night then took a nap just now and slept through my alarm and ended up sleeping for 2 hours and could have gone back to sleep but I HAVE to get up, I’ve got too much to do lol.
  • I was so exhausted during weeks 4-6. I’m not usually a napped but I had to take daily naps, now at 8 weeks, I’m not as exhausted and don’t need daily naps.
  • yeah, that sounds pretty normal, tbh, pregnancy can really mess with your sleep patterns!

"It's not uncommon to experience fatigue and changes in sleep patterns during early pregnancy due to hormonal shifts and physical changes. Some women may feel more tired than usual, even if they had adequate sleep the night before. It's important to listen to your body and rest when you can. Have you been experiencing any other symptoms, like nausea or mood changes, that might be contributing to your fatigue?"
