Trying to Get Pregnant

IF Testing & Treatment w/o Sep 2

**This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ballgame. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

Diagnosis (if you've been):

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched):

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):

How are things going?:

Any questions?:

GTKY: What's making you happy this week?

Re: IF Testing & Treatment w/o Sep 2

  • **TW loss** Hey ladies, I’ve been peeking in here and there after my loss this spring when I thought I was done.  It turns out we weren’t, but have gone on to have 2 more early losses, one confirmed today by US.  We are at 4 in a row since early last year and 7 total.

Diagnosis (if you've been): RPL, unexplained IF with RE in 2019, presumed MTHFR, PCOS, Hashimoto’s

    Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): benched pending MMC

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):  We’ve been treating my thyroid, PCOS and MTHFR.  My TSH has been normal, plus taking inositol, folate, ASA, and progesterone and still no success.  My OB wants me to see the fertility specialist in their practice ahead of getting back with a new RE to repeat testing and look at things from a more immune/infection standpoint (is this APS and do I need to do lovenox, or look at an antihistamine protocol etc).  On a fortuitous recommendation, I have a virtual consult with Dr Sami David in NYC in two weeks and will do all of his recommended testing after that so I’m glad we can at least get moving on diagnosing/treating those quickly even if it takes awhile to get in with anyone else.

How are things going?:  Routine and compassionate, practical friends here are moving me forward this week ❤️

    Any questions?:

GTKY: What's making you happy this week?  Knowing for certain we have a plan moving forward out of this week.

I'm so, so sorry for your losses. My heart breaks for you. I'm glad to hear you've got good people in your corner, and I understand very well the comfort that comes with having a plan <3 Here's to taking it one day at a time. Excited to hear how your appointment with Dr. David goes and next steps when/if you feel like sharing!

    Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained
    Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): Benched
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Surgical hysteroscopy
How are things going?: Things are going. Surgery is next Monday, so just trying to get all my work stuff out of the way so I can relax through the weekend and after. They seem optimistic that's it's going to be a straightforward procedure and an easy fix, so I'm doing my best to share that optimism.
    Any questions?:
GTKY: What's making you happy this week? We're finally getting some crisp fall mornings and it feels like the never-ending summer heat wave might have broken at last.
  • @aisleofviewtwo hoping all goes smoothly and you get a good report!  It’s today, isn’t it?

I’m super encouraged by what I’ve read about his deep experience and simple model of care. I’ll definitely update afterward!

@virginiaham Yes! It was today--you're so kind to have remember!
My RE had to run off pretty quickly to get to her next case, but she seemed really pleased with herself when she handed my before/after photos of my newly improved, squeaky clean uterus :D
