Thought I’d try to get some momentum going here in the April group!
EDD / Weeks + Days: April 11th/ 8 weeks 3 days
FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM (I’d say plus because I’ve had multiple losses but two boys here)
Baby is the size of a (an): Penny
Team blue/pink/green: When we do the genetic testing we are planning to find out.
Upcoming Appointments: Around 10 weeks will be my first appointment- I waited to call and I guess that pushed me back.
How are you feeling?: nausea is getting bad. I feel nauseous until about 3pm. Also mood out of control lol.
Rants/Raves: Just trying to find the right combo so I don’t feel terrible all day. Also I have an at home Doppler that I am very skilled in using and was able to hear baby! That helped with the delay in my appointment.
Questions: Anything helping with nausea for you all?
GTKY: What are one or two of your hobbies? I love to crochet. I learned about two years ago and haven’t stopped since. Trying to hold off on making all the baby things until I know everything is all good.
@rosesintherain thank you for starting this! I keep checking back every few days to see if we’ve got any momentum. As far as nausea, last pregnancy I went heavy on the carbs to keep it at bay. This pregnancy I find protein helping more than carbs.
EDD / Weeks + Days: April 25 / 6 + 5
FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM
Baby is the size of a (an): pomegranate seed.
Team blue/pink/green: I’m leaning towards team green
Upcoming Appointments: first appt and u/s on Friday.
How are you feeling?: honestly not too bad. Breasts are super tender, which my toddler loves to remind me. Fatigue hits hard around 3pm each day. Nausea was bad in week 4 & 5, but I’ve really been trying to stay on top of my protein intake and it seems to help, I can tell when I fall behind.
Rants/Raves: hockey season is starting for my oldest! It’s our favourite time of year, we love watching him play and he consistently impresses us with his progress.
Questions: natm
GTKY: What is one or two of your hobbies: I love doing triathlon. I’m by no means competitive, but the self-challenge is something I really enjoy. I have my last triathlon of the year this Sunday (also competed in one at 5wks). I also love crafting with my Cricut, my friends are constantly reaching out asking me to whip something up for them.
@mouseymotherpucker my 4 year old is reminding me about the tender breasts too. He keeps climbing all over me lol. Maybe I’ll add a few more carbs. I’m protein heavy already. I’m sure it’ll just take a few weeks. Hope your first appointment goes well!
EDD / Weeks + Days: 7 + something. This is my second baby so I’m not tracking each day like with my first.
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Baby is the size of a (an): Pea
Team blue/pink/green: We’ll find out the gender around 12 weeks. We have a boy already so I’d be happy with another boy in hopes they’d be built-in BFFs, but I’d love a girl too just to have one of each.
Upcoming Appointments: Sept 19- my first prenatal appointment with my midwives.
How are you feeling?: Thirsty and tired. Otherwise feeling pretty good.
Rants/Raves: Being pregnant with a toddler is not as much fun as being pregnant the first time 😂 Corporate America can really suck- 50% of my team got laid off this week which was hard. BUT the weather has been great, my first baby will be TWO next week and we’re celebrating with a party. Plus baby on the way so we have many things to look forward to.
Questions: NATM
GTKY: What is one or two of your hobbies? Gardening & Reading. And Mom-ing which consists of hunting down events on Facebook to take my feral toddler to so he can run around.
Upcoming Appointments: 9/10 chat with the midwife and 9/30 ultrasound and midwife check in.
How are you feeling?: Better than with my first! Sore boobs which I’m happy about because it means glandular tissue is developing and I had a severe undersupply with my son. A little nausea but this time I know about taking B6 and unisom and it is saving my life. If anyone has nausea I highly recommend this combo of supplements.
Rants/Raves: Super excited about this pregnancy! Even with a toddler it’s been so much easier so far from the lack of constant nausea. Hopefully it stays that way!!
Questions:
GTKY: What is one or two of your hobbies? Gardening (70% invasive species removal and 30% planting wildflowers). I also love reading romantasy and cozy fantasy books!
