Upcoming Appointments: I've got a 28 week Midwife and bloods in nearly two weeks as my clinic day is right at the end of my pregnancy week.
How are you feeling?: Mostly good. Starting to feel big. My bump seems to have used all the accommodation from my previous pregnancies and feels like it's really stretching now. Especially where I have some diastasis in the 3 inches above my belly button. I got some physio tape from my chemist today at about half the price you usually see it for, so I'm going to give it a go.
Rants/Raves: It looks like I passed my GTT yesterday, they only call if there's a problem and I haven't heard anything. This was the first time I had the proper drink, it was disgusting, previously it was like glucose tablets dissolved in water. I still have aversions to sweet foods so it was extra bad, I ended up downing it like a teenager at a party 😅, then proceeded to feel nauseous for the next hour.
Upcoming Appointments: 9/3. I literally had to check my calendar because I’m at the stage where I’m just like “let’s get this over with!” instead of “awww, I can’t til then next time I hear his little heartbeat” stage of pregnancy.
How are you feeling?: Feeling alright, just exhausted and uncomfortable by the end of the day. Having crazy dreams every night that make me not want to even sleep!
Rants/Raves: Officially haven’t had any nausea in a couple weeks but the heartburn is a multiple times per day occurrence. Excited that I’m still somewhat spry and I worked out this week which I’m proud of. Passed my 1-hr GTT with flying colors and now looking forward to getting all my vaccinations. Got all the major items for baby and just talked to a friend who has a bunch of clothes to give me (yay!). Can’t believe I’ll officially be in my 3rd friggin’ tri next week! Eeek!
Upcoming Appointments: Thursday this coming week, finally! I haven't had an appointment at all the entire second trimester since week 14, besides the AS, because they cancelled on me day-of last time. Not impressed.
How are you feeling?: Starting to be over it and just wanting to not be pregnant anymore. I'm thankfully not in any pain (yet), but I just feel so large and exhausted all the time. Insomnia is real, I still get nauseous if I don't eat right away when hungry, I'm so out of breath. On workdays I get up at 5am, my commute involves 2 miles of walking each way, and when I get home I solo parent until past bedtime. Although my son is 5.5 years old, his disability means a lot of parenting is still like parenting a toddler so I essentially have two toddlers. Normally I don't have any issues with this but it's starting to become physically very hard.
Rants/Raves: My mom decided she'll come for three weeks when baby comes!! I'm so relieved since that means child care is sorted for when we're at the hospital.

My next appointment is 9/6. After that we will be seeing the OB every 2 weeks. We are also 1 week into our 3-week labor and delivery class at the hospital. It’s been informative so far.
I’m feeling ok most of the time during the day. I have energy and love feeling baby wiggling around in there. At night the hip pain is really a struggle no matter how I arrange pillows.
Rave: I started back to teaching this week and both colleagues and students are over the top excited to get updates on my pregnancy after the summer. Their excitement has really helped me be excited about the last trimester and not so over it and just wanting to meet baby. Also, my blood sugar has been good this week so I’m doing well figuring out the best things to eat to manage the GD.
Rant: Walking any length of time pinches a nerve in my back, so I’m trying to figure out a way to workout and still be able to move the next day.
Upcoming Appointments: midwife apt in 3/4 weeks, haven't booked it yet. Not sure if I will get the tdap vaccine or will just give it to baby at 2mos... We live in a remote town and are not crazy social. Thoughts?
How are you feeling?: weird. Lol. I probably feel the least "pregnant" so far. I'm used to being this size and all the feelings so it just feels like this is what life is now, haha. I had to change contractors so right now we're building forms and pouring concrete for a retaining wall, which I'm hoping is done soon so we're back to the lighter work. I really enjoy being physical during the day and I think it will help my labour, but once I'm home I'm for sure done for the day and definitely feel it in my hips. I'm so over getting up to pee in the night. And the heartburn, though it's only every second or third day.
Rants/Raves: I bought a new (to me) vehicle, because I was worried about a car seat being awkward in my truck. So that has its benefits, but also the annoyingness of little things going wrong (like all of a sudden the hatch doesn't unlock....)
I am super excited to meet this baby though, and so curious about what they'll be like.
@etnyah I'm glad you'll have some support, that sounds like a lot to manage.
Upcoming Appointments: Had one last week and got prescriptions for 2 vaccines. (tdap + another that I don't remember.)
How are you feeling?: mixed bag. Nighttime has been rough for more nights than I can handle some weeks: heartburn and vomiting. I've tried eating, not eating, eating certain things and not others etc. My doc said I'm just stuck with it because I don't want to increase my meds. It makes me nervous taking them as it is even though they say they're safe. But when I get a good nights sleep, I still have energy during the day which I'm taking advantage of getting things done around the house.
Rants/Raves: We hosted our own baby shower yesterday (between friends, hubby's fam, my fam and my bio fam, I didn't want to attend multiple showers that others wanted to host because that's multiple days of getting ready and being social etc). I'm extremely grateful for family who stepped up and came over the days ahead to get the baby's room ready and my SIL even cleaned my baseboards and my bathroom for me. It was family friendly and everyone had a blast. I loved hearing kids tell their parents they didn't want to leave because they were having too much fun. I am getting to that point tho where I'm impatiently waiting for baby to get here now. I'm large and getting crankier and especially now that we pretty much most of what we need for baby (and my amazon cart is full of stuff we'll be buying from amazon gift cards from the shower), I just want little man in my arms instead of in my belly!
