Hi all! I am new to this group (although have been TTC for a couple of months now). A little background: I have PCOS and have only ovulated 4 out of the last 9 months, this month being one of them! I track BBT to confirm O. I am currently 11dpo; however, my luteal phase is on the shorter side and AF was supposed to come today but didn’t. I had a BFN this morning on at home tests. I should also note that I’m having mild cramps and my BBT usually comes down on 10dpo, but is still very high above my cover line.

I’ve been lurking this and other forums and I can’t seem to find an answer to this question: Is 11dpo too early to test regardless of today being a missed period day? Should I still be testing at 14dpo?

If you read through all of this I appreciate you and any constructive advice/help!

Hi knottie! Implantation can occur anywhere from 6-12 DPO, so there’s no hard and fast rule for when it will be “too early” or “too late” to turn a test.

If AF hasn’t arrived—and especially if BBT is still high—all you can do is testing every few days and wait and see.
