Trying to Get Pregnant

IF Testing & Treatment w/o July 29

**This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ballgame. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

Re: IF Testing & Treatment w/o July 29

  • Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained

    Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): FET

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): FET with a modified natural cycle

How are things going?: Good. My first monitoring appointment is on Wednesday. I’ll probably update again after that.

    Any questions?: Nope

GTKY: Give a fun fact about yourself
I don’t really have any I can think of right now. I just ran out of GTKY questions.

  • @britters314 Ahhh it’s happening! Amazing! Please do update after Wednesday’s monitoring—FX for a good report!

    Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained

    Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): Benched

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Hysteroscopy

How are things going?: She’s back!! Returned from vacation, recommitted to healthy eating, got a sustainable exercise routine started, and starting to feel more myself again. IVF things are…going. My doc wants to do a hysteroscopy just to make sure I’ve got a nice, friendly environment for an embryo, so I’m currently on birth control for that. We also decided that since I have to commit a cycle to testing, anyway, we’d use the time off do another just-in-case retrieval and hopefully take some pressure off the next transfer. So game plan is hysteroscopy this Friday, IVF in August, FET in September 🤞

Any questions?: Anybody who’s been through a hysteroscopy, what should I be expecting? They didn’t tell me to take pain meds like for the HSG so I’m hopeful it won’t be too bad, but it just seems like a camera going through the cervix would have to hurt!

GTKY: Give a fun fact about yourself. I’m right-handed but left-footed. This may be because I inherited my dad’s wonky genes and my right leg is almost an inch longer than the left!

  • @aisleofviewtwo I’m glad you are starting to feel yourself again! I’ve never had a hysteroscopy, but I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt to take some pain meds beforehand just in case it does hurt.

AFM, my ultrasound today showed a dominant follicle measuring 18.5mm and lining of 8.9mm. That honestly means nothing to me lol, but the doctor said that’s good and I should take my trigger shot tonight! That means my transfer will be next week Wednesday (which is coincidentally H’s birthday)
  • @britters314 those numbers are SO good! Also amazing that they caught you just in time to trigger after your very first monitoring appointment! Happy triggering!!
  • @aisleofviewtwo Yeah originally they had told me I’d have a monitoring appointment around CD 10-12 (today is CD 9). But they had me do a baseline ultrasound and bloodwork on CD 4 and must have been able to tell from that that I would ovulate early because then they told me to schedule monitoring for today instead of later in the week. I’m definitely glad they caught it!
