Exercise during pregnancy

Anyone else going down the rabbit hole of mixed advice for work outs? Currently sticking with my heated yoga (sculpt and Pilates) classes (been going for almost a year) and it’s the only thing that makes me feel better right now. I stop as needed and hydrate. And have read up on impact. Seems odd to refrain since I’m still allowed to be outside during summer and go to the beach for extended time?

Anyone else have experience in this realm? Looking into a personal trainer for down the road but curious what others have encountered…

Re: Exercise during pregnancy

  • I agree it is definitely mixed advice and I think they base it on a couple different factors. I was told nothing that would "crunch" the stomach area (situps, crunches, etc) and nothing more extreme from what I was doing. I can go for walks outside or on the treadmill and use the Aeroski I have because I was doing those a bit before gettng pregnant. Anything outside of what I was doing, the recommend sending a message to the nurse / dr office to get the okay first but I am also 35 and pregnant.

Either way, if you're unsure I'd follow what your doctor says to be safe. They know you / your medical history the best.
