No need to worry, everyone's body reacts differently to the hormones. A lot of people seem to conflate feeling poorly/having symptoms to having a healthy pregnancy, and it's really just not true. Just take care of yourself and only worry about managing the symptoms you DO have, if any, and consider yourself one of the lucky ones. And hopefully it stays this way for you.
I'm 29wks, and I've only had mild symptoms the entire time so far, and honestly I feel pretty great about it. I was expecting this whole pregnancy thing to be a whole lot worse just based on the experiences of friends, and literally my friends get mad at me whenever I tell them I've been doing great. Kind of like they had to suffer through their pregnancies and they're mad that I'm not suffering I think it's somewhat genetic, since my mom had really easy pregnancies as well.
I am in my third pregnancy. Pregnancy 1: Healthy baby (2yrs old now); Pregnancy 2: miscarried 9 weeks; Pregnancy 3: current.
Pregnancy 2 had very extreme symptoms like major food aversions, melasma, dark areolas and nausea. When I got pregnant again (currently 6 weeks and some change), I was really nervous that I didn’t have any symptoms at 6 weeks .. and I still don’t really. I had a journal from pregnancy 1, and brought it out to find that I barely had symptoms until my second trimester. Even then, all that would happen was slight nausea when hungry.
The point is .. symptoms don’t mean healthy pregnancy. You’re probably one of the lucky ones!! Keep us posted here :-)
Re: Symptoms
The only symptom that "matters" is the missed period. Everything else is hit or miss. Feel blessed
