Natural induction methods ? Trying to avoid medical induction

Just got the news my ob wants to induce me Friday :( …. Has anyone had any luck making themselves go into natural labor with only a few days till their scheduled induction date?  If so what methods did you use and what was your experience… I’m desperate you guys! I don’t want this induction !!

  • I've had no luck. This is my first though. I've tried all the old wives tales: spicy food, red raspberry tea, sex, orgasms, curb walking, hip rolls, relaxing, warm showers. I am avoiding castor oil though. I've read that can just make you and baby poo, which is bad for baby.

  • Eh no luck, but when I was induced I asked to try cervadil first which helped me dilate. And then when I started pitocin I increased the dose every hour instead of every 15 min because I wanted to make sure both baby and I would tolerate it. I opted to not have an epidural, which was extremely painful but we got through it. I hope your body goes into labor naturally. Inductions are often overdone (like mine)
  • Sigh I feel so helpless …I’m trying everything lol
  • Have you asked for a cervical sweep? Once I had one the process moved way faster
