I should be 5d 4w first BHCG 529 on 6/26/24, second 590 6/28/24, third 780 7/1/24. The ultrasound tech says pregnancy is in the uterus and not tubal but believes I’m only about 4 weeks along. Dr doesn’t seem optimistic but says all hope isn’t out the window yet. I have endometriosis and infertility for 20 years. I’ve had several miscarriages all super early none that have made it this far. Anyone have a positive outcome with slow rising HCG?
Re: HCG not doubling
I found out I was pregnant during Covid so they didn’t have me go in to confirm it and scheduled my first appointment at around 12 weeks I believe. I had my positive pregnancy test in January and Super Bowl Sunday when I should have been around 5 weeks I started bleeding and passed a clot. I had also had mild cramping for a few weeks. I went to the emergency room and they basically said I was most likely having a miscarriage and to follow up with my OB. They did ultrasounds but said it was possibly too early to see anything. They also said that it didn’t look like there was any tissue in the clot but that didn’t mean much. They ran blood tests and my HCG wasn’t very high. I ended up getting bloodwork done two more times and both came back inconclusive because my HCG was rising but not as high as they expected and definitely not doubling. I spoke to a nurse at the OBs office and she made me feel better by saying that while things didn’t seem like they were necessarily looking typical that there was also nothing she was seeing that said I couldn’t go on to have a completely normal pregnancy. At around 8 weeks I went in for an ultrasound and everything looked great and they could see baby and baby’s heartbeat. I did end up having polyhydraminos and being induced at 37 weeks but aside from that I went on to have a completely normal and healthy pregnancy. After doing a bunch of research I believe I had a subchorionic hematoma and ended up passing it.
