Loss of Appetite

19 weeks today and for the past week or so I have little to no appetite. When I do eat, I eat a few bites and then I feel stuffed to the point of wanting to vomit.

I'm assuming this is normal, but again, ftm so I question everything.

It’s normal but it suuuuuuucks. There’s less space in your body for your own organs now, including your stomach, so feeling full fast is definitely a thing.

I’m still dealing with nausea too. Nauseous when I haven’t eaten enough, nauseous if I eat too much. Super fun!

Yes! I still have that too.  :s

  • Full belly sucks.  I try to do little things like scoop of PB to keep adding “healthy calories” but so full all the time.  We are only halfway too…
  • You could try a little apple cider vinegar in water. I find everything digesting so slowly makes me feel full but adding some more acid helps. Rather than antacids that just make it worse for me.

Interesting. A friend of mine does acv shots (like a shot glass of it).
My digestion has been a nightmare! I hate the taste tho. Wonder if I can chase it with pickle juice. lol.
  • @mitchip You could make a fruit shrub there are lots of recipes online. It's a mixture of fruit, sugar and vinegar. Infact now I've remembred about them, I picked some blackcurrants yhe othet day and I'm going to make one.
  • There are lots of ACV gummies available now and they don’t taste like vinegar. Certainly check the ingredients and check with your dr, but that might be a way to get the vinegar in without the taste.

I’m feeling super full the past few days as well, making me snack less. The AVC sounds interesting- has anyone tried it and worked?

It's completely normal to have fluctuations in appetite during pregnancy, especially as your body adjusts. I advise you to try the 3-day fruit diet, it suggests a short-term plan focusing on fruits for detox and weight management. Always prioritize a balanced diet that supports both your health and your baby's development.
