Team blue/pink/green: Green for now
How are you feeling?: Still struggling with nausea and exhaustion. Had a little bit of constipation recently which seems to make the nausea worse.
GTKY: Since a few of us have mentioned how loooong this first trimester has been feeling, what is your favorite way to treat yourself or your favorite thing to do to decompress? Honestly, I usually just play a mindless game on my phone to decompress. As for a favorite way to treat yourself, I enjoy giving gifts. So every once in a while I buy something for my daughter or my husband. I enjoy shopping but there isn't anything that I really want/need right now so I still get my shopping fix while making someone else happy which in turn makes me even happier.

How are you feeling?: Blah, I've had a cold this past week, and went camping/hiking this weekend and am just feeling exhausted. Food aversions are for real.
GTKY: I have really been trying to stay active and stretch every day. I've been enjoying going outside for a run or walk with an audiobook or a podcast.

How are you feeling?: Hungry, all the time. But also sad that after eating I never feel satisfied I try not to think about it too long or I start to gag at the thought of having ate something I didn’t like.

How are you feeling?: I seem to finally be feeling better. It isn’t consistent so the nausea will suddenly creep up but I have more good hours in the day. I am exhausted and extremely limited in my activities, even the smallest errand makes me need to lay down.
GTKY: great question, I get a regular facial which has really be lovely, something to look forward to. Basically, if I feel like something I do it. In the past I would have maybe been more hesitant to indulge in a nap or a purchase or making time for myself but since being pregnant, I have become incredibly protective of myself and my time. It’s really taught me a lot and I’ve given myself loads of permission to just do whatever feels right and good in the moment. It’s been totally indulgent and lovely.

How are you feeling?: Some days I have to remind myself I'm pregnant. Not that I don't have symptoms. But it has been so long since I was pregnant. Still having some major food aversions and hating everything food wise.
GTKY: Since a few of us have mentioned how loooong this first trimester has been feeling, what is your favorite way to treat yourself or your favorite thing to do to decompress? I zone out on instagram reels for sure. The other day I took my youngest to an ice cream shop in town and that was a real treat.

How are you feeling?:
tired, nauseous, bloaty, but also really happy despite it all. We announced our pregnancy today and it’s nice to not have to hide it from everyone when I’m gagging from smells, turning down drinks with friends, or falling asleep while sitting up.
rant: this morning sickness and fatigue stuff is getting me behind in my goals for accelerating through my college courses. I try to study and end up asleep with the laptop on my lap.

How are you feeling?: bleh. Today I was so stressed at work that I forgot to eat, which was a big mistake. And then I binged dinner and now I feel sick. Im really struggling to get 60+ ounces/day of water too lol. But I’m still very excited and grateful for our little nugget and the gift of pregnancy; it’s truly amazing.

Long phone talks with my big sis (mom of two) and take out/comedy special nights with my husband.
Baby is the size of a (an): strawberry
Team blue/pink/green: Green for now. We do want to find out, but we’ve found the not knowing part pretty fun too. We eventually want both boys and girls so it doesn’t really matter which comes first
How are you feeling?: fatigued, nauseous, constipated, bloated, and somewhat weepy. I wasn’t expecting first trimester symptoms to hit me this hard, but they definitely did
Raves: my husband. He is the best. He has been so supportive and patient with me. He’s going to be such a great dad. I am really excited to go through this with him
GTKY: walking my dogs although I’m not doing that nearly as much as I used to with how exhausted I am once I get home from work. I really enjoy cooking. Stay in Netflix nights with husband
@Mamazon2014 congratulations on your announcement. Part of the reason we told my husbands sister and her family as early as we did was because we were going on vacation with them and I knew I wouldn't be able to hide the nausea.
@fk18 we got the carrier gene testing done with my first and we are going to again with this one. We debated for a little bit with my first because we weren't sure if we wanted to know but we really wanted to know the sex early so we ultimately decided to do it. The first time around was very stressful in the moment. We got back an no result due to an atypical finding on one of the tests. Our doctor referred us to an MFM to do amniocentesis. At the time, she didn't seem to have any of the markers so we decided that the risk of doing the amniocentesis wasn't worth it. She turned out perfectly healthy so we decided we are going to do it again. I get the kit on Friday.
- boundary setting conversations with close friends
- journalling & therapy
- continuing to do the things that bring me joy (even if it feels really hard to get the motivation to go)
- reminding myself that I am still me even though I am pregnant.
I'm sorry you are feeling like this @ndthornburg I hope it gets better
Not sure if that's helpful or not!
Baby is the size of a (an): lime
Team blue/pink/green: green, but we submitted NIPT testing last week so hoping to find out soon!
How are you feeling?: exhausted, my back hurts, I’m either absolutely starving or stuffed (no in between), and I’m the past week my sense of smell has gone nuts. I’m just so grateful nausea hasn’t been much of a problem. So, decent, all things considered.
GTKY: this first trimester has felt so long!!! I’ve been playing volleyball in a local league once a week and honestly that has helped because it marks the time. It’s also pretty much the only active thing I’ve been doing so it makes me feel good about what I can still do for a couple of hours. I don’t think I’ll be able to do it for much longer though - my abs aren’t working like they should 😂
