Electrolysis?

I’m almost 4 weeks and I have my first electrolysis appt scheduled for tomorrow. I told the technician right away and she said I didn’t need to cancel because thermolysis is safe for pregnancy.
I have PCOS and I feel my mental health will be severely affected if I have to continue having a beard for the next 9 months. Not sure what to do :/

Hey! I'm in the same boat (but a few months into treatment) and this is what my midwife said when I asked if I should cancel: 

"Generally speaking yes, the advice is to avoid. There’s basically no good quality evidence about its safety in pregnancy but in theory with electrolysis there could be a small amount of current circulating in the body depending on what kind of device is used and I would avoid that if possible especially in first trimester. Probably it wouldn’t actually cause harm but the lowest risk option would be to avoid exposure in pregnancy." 

So probably fine if your tech uses the right current, but I cancelled my appointments out of an abundance of caution. I have been dealing with my beard for this long I figured I could wait
