Hello all, I’ve talked about this in another discussion group but ironically it’s named afternoon nap lol. I’m 14weeks pregnant and I’ve had insomnia for the past two weeks so starting around my 12weeks. I stay in bed for hours too tired to do anything but I can’t sleep and in this brain fog. Some days I’ll get 2 hours of sleep before I have to wake up for work. It is a mental battle for me everyday and if any one wants to talk about it I figured I make a group.

My nighttime routine is Melatonin with L-Thianine and some tylenol PM (tylenol plus benedryl). Safe for baby. You could try one or both. My insomnia is unhinged without it for decades and the combination is the only thing that has worked for me, including prescription meds. Just plain melatonin doesn't help me because it makes me drowsy but doesn't shut off the brain. The L-Thianine shuts off the brain (and amino acid that is sometimes used to treat anxiety, helps the brain stop running constantly), and then the tylenol takes the edge off my neck pain and benadryl keeps me asleep for the whole night.
