Anyone else have the looming feeling labor is near? 

Maybe it’s because baby is head down and so big, but I just have this gut feeling I’m going to be thrown into labor when I least expect it one day here soon!

@sph97 me! i think about it so much that i even dreamt about it last night 🫠 i dreamt that i went into l&d with no symptoms, just walked in for a check up. they checked for dilation & told me i was at 8cm and i was shocked cause i didn’t feel any pain and i was just like “okay so when is she gonna be born?”. thats all i remember, but i woke up remembering my son’s labor cause it was so similar to my dream. i went in to l&d cause i had super light spotting. once i got there, i was checked & told i was 4cm dilated and in active labor without feeling any pain. this time around im always thinking what if it happens again? i can be dilating without even knowing it. i did have light spotting last week & i mentioned it to the nurse practitioner this last appt and she just told me “you’re over projecting, you’ll be fine” and completely dismissed me. i just have a feeling she’s gonna be here soon, i can’t shake it! but its probably just my mind relating it to my past experience.

@littlebabybuster I had preterm labor with my first and I wonder if I’m just projecting that experience onto this baby 🙈 but I do have an irritable uterus so the daily contractions definitely don’t help lol

I know where Spud is growing is more of a round shape, but I swear there is a corner or something on the left side.  I also am pretty sure Spud has bruised something over there because that's where I first felt them moving around and that is the only area that actually hurts when it gets kicked.

@sph97 i think it just doesn’t help that they’re chunky babies & the pressure we’re feeling from their weight is getting in our heads 😂

on another random note, my current craving has been classic ham & cheese sandwiches or pancakes for dinner, my mind tells me i need 2 sandwiches or 3 pancakes but my breathlessness snaps me back to reality and i only eat one sandwich or one pancake. i feel stuffed with just a little bit of food 😭.. another craving is definitely agua frescas (fresh fruit water) i make watermelon water, strawberry water, or pineapple water almost every day! it’s the only thing i can drink in this horrible tx heat.

pancakes have been my #1 craving this pregnancy! I just bought some protein pancake mix and hoping I can get away with eating one (and maybe some muffins with it!) without any major sugar spikes!
I also enjoy a good cold cut. Firehouse subs is my go to right now 😋

I had subway today and ate it in 30 seconds flat. Felt like I could have eaten double of what I did.  But the last few dinners? I take a few bites and my stomach is uncomfortably stuffed. It doesn't make sense!

I crave sushi the most this pregnancy. I have a reputable place so I’m comfortable eating it, but pre pregnancy I could eat 2 rolls, now I can eat half to 3/4 a roll. I guess at least I haven’t gained weight? I feel like I barely eat, and every single thing I eat makes me sick out the back if you know what I mean. Been like this since early on though and I hate nausea so I guess it’s better than that.

I feel very lucky I was able to quit my job and work super part time doing nails from home, because I’m EXHAUSTED at this point in my pregnancy. Exhausted to the point of tears most of the time. Do some laundry, put it away, do a clients nails, straighten the kitchen and next thing I know I’m in bed lying there feeling like crap and in pain like I ran a freaking marathon. I’m sure having fibromyalgia doesn’t help things, or being in my late 30s, but huge crazy props to you mamas who work full time right up until the due date. This ish is hard.

If I wasn’t working from home in a very flexible position I don’t know how I would do it. I’m so sore all the time. My back and groin have been killing me and I’ve still got 10 weeks to go

My 2y/o has had a 101 fever all morning. This came out of no where! So glad for the snuggles but he feels so pitiful. Praying this passes soon!

I was proud of how much I managed to catch for my urine sample today...then proceeded to knock the cup over.  There was still some left in there, but still.... Haha

@MinnieMay9 its really unfair how we have to catch our own urine in a tiny cup while our balance and agility are at their worsts

@theneno1012 thank you! He had low grade fever yesterday but was 0-100 all day. I was exhausted! 

I found out my nephew has been running high fever for 3-4 days straight.. only after telling family my son was sick so we wouldn’t be going swimming. He was playing with him the day before he got sick, and they still had him out around our out of town family at our grandmothers pool with 103 fever! It drives me crazy that they bring their kids around running fever and act surprised when my kid get sick too 😵‍💫

I bought my son tickets to see Messi play when his MLS team is town this weekend. Only thing I didn’t factor in is that Messi is appearing with his countries team instead. So I’m about to have one heartbroken little boy

Annnnnd it’s hand foot mouth. 😵‍💫 this is his first time getting it. We was able to dodge it the last time my neice and nephew got it 😭 any and all tips and advice welcome, he isn’t eating and I’m sure it’s because his mouth hurts. I can ge thin to drink tea and water pretty well but his appetite is gone. We’re living off popsicles!

my son had hfm back in april .. the first 3 days were the worst & it slowly got better after that. during the first 3 days it was on and off fever. he tried drinking milk but would immediately start crying from pain. we managed to get him to eat soup broth & a couple of ounces of milk it we were lucky. i tried getting him to drink some pedialyte but it was too painful for him. we kept him comfortable with tylenol & ibuprofen, there wasn’t much we could do besides wait. after the 3 days he was able to eat a bit more & he broke the fever. the blisters all went away after a month and they didn’t leave any scarring. i hope your little one gets through it quickly, it’s tough seeing them so uncomfortable 😔

Yessss! Thankfully yesterday we FINALLY got some rain, but now it’s hot and muggy!

I should have put this in my rant on the check in, buttt
I let one of my husbands cousins borrow all of my pump stuff from my first. It’s been returned missing the chargers and collection bottles, and my whole cooler bag is “missing” with extra pump replacement parts. I just spent over $100 replacing just what I need to pump when baby is here (in about THREE weeks) and my nana has offered to replace the cooler bag but I’m pretty irritated. Apparently they would leave bottles out with formula and they would sour so she threw all but like 3 bottle away instead of washing them, so all my pump bottles are GONE and the 3 she returned are not compatible with my pump so I had to re-buy collection bottles that fit my pump.
She isn’t even offering to replace anything she lost? I see her every Sunday and I know it’s partially my hormones but I kind of want to call her out on how selfish and incredibly disrespectful it is to use someone’s things and then not take care of them. I had to buy chargers for my Willow she swears she didn’t even use (then why are all the parts missing?) and new replacement parts for it too. She’s young (like 23/24) and is a SAHM so I don’t understand how she lost half the stuff we let her borrow so she wouldn’t have to buy it! I couldn’t imagine asking to borrow someone’s very expensive things and then just not taking care of it and acting like it’s no big deal. I’ve messaged her a couple times asking if she’s checked her garage or around the house and found my cooler bag with parts so I didn’t have to re-buy and she opens my messages and never replied. To me this is screaming spoiled and privileged and I was just brought up that way!

@lexilougolden he is doing fine! His blisters are starting to pop on his feet/toes so he’s only playing in spurts and wants to be held the rest of the time. Thankful it was mild and didn’t happen any closer to when we bring baby home!!

@theneno1012 the TX heat is unbearable. we had someone come check out our ac yesterday cause i swore it was messing up. its not. it’s just the heat that doesn’t let the house completely cool 😔. we’re getting a big thunderstorm & everyone is preparing for it, i’m just happy its gonna be a break from the heat!! although afterwards we’ll be left with swarms of mosquitoes PLUS heat. there’s no winning 🤦‍♀️

Arg.  I recently got my car's AC fixed, yay.  On Tuesday it said I needed gas and though I thought the mileage looked a bit low, I figured it was because I was running the AC so much.  The pump didn't let me put in as much as I usually do, so that was weird.  My car still said I needed gas and the needle moved between the last two lines, so I figured my sensor wasn't working.  On my way home from the gym and a Target run my car stopped making power and my battery light came on.  Luckily my husband was nearby and he tried to jump me.  He said it was turning over but wasn't starting.  Used insurance to get a tow and they were giving a 2-3 eta.  It was over 90 so my husband told me to cancel it and we tried calling to see if we could get them to use one of the many closer tow companies.  Ended up with a similar eta even after the call.  Over an hour after I got a message that Power Towing was dispatched to us did we get notified that someone from King Towing was actually en route.
I'm just so lucky that he was nearby and we could sit in the AC in his truck.  Very unhappy with my insurance company because they use a middle man to get ahold of the tow truck companies and just see who will take the job instead of trying to find the quickest, especially in this heat.

@MinnieMay9 that is so aggravating! We’ve had some trouble with our health insurance refusing to cover my GD supplies. Insurance is such a scam!
