Stretch mark suggestions

Searching for the best stretch mark cream or magic oils?  I was using bert bees mama in first trimester, but its almost gone and I am already seeing belly and boob stretch marks.  It maybe just inevitable (having twins), but if anybody had any super magical suggestions please share away!

Re: Stretch mark suggestions

  • There is only so much you can and there are only a few things that actually have any clinical evidence. 1st vitamin E creams/oils and 2nd hyaluronic acid.

You can get quite cheap hyaluronic acid serums and sometimes body serums that come in bigger sizes. Put that on first then lock in the moisture with your oil or cream. Later on when my stretch marks got bigger I then put lanolin nipple balm on top of the bad stretch marks. I think a lot of the brands are very similar so just get what is in your price point.

I had 3 big ones and the rest were small but later on any big stretch marks get very dry and can be painful because the skin is so thin. Post partum I continued with the oils and also used retinol body creams and I did at home micro needling and that helped.

  • African shea butter. You can buy a big thing on Amazon and a little goes a loooooong way. I put it on nightly after my shower and with my first pregnancy I had little to no stretch marks.
  • My friend swears by Motherlove salve. I haven’t tried it yet but was going to buy it soon
  • I use a vitamin E and shea butter and postpartum I use a skin repair lotion I had 0 marks from my first 3 and only a couple from my last that really aren’t noticeable

I’d go to a dermatologist and ask for their advice! Stretch marks are mainly genetic so just because someone said “I used xyz and it worked because I have no stretch marks”doesn’t mean much. I used absolutely nothing for two pregnancies and I don’t have a single stretch mark, neither does anyone else in my family. You’ll find people who did everything they could and still ended up with them. Hopefully you won’t get too many despite having twins!
