    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Baby is the size of a (an): 🥥

    Team blue/pink/green: 💚

    Upcoming Appointments: Weekly BPP’s

How are you feeling?: Irritable. Starting to feel guilty at how thin my patience is running with my 2 y/o, but I swear he’s trying to climb back in my womb. He has to be touching me 24/7, he has become so incredibly clingy it’s overwhelming. I can’t get ready, cook, clean, nothing w/out a tiny human following me around crying to be picked up.

Rants/Raves: rant above ^ I love him so much but I’m so touched out 😭

Questions: any other mamas experience this with their toddlers? I’m sure it’s because baby is near but I’m getting overwhelmed at the thought of how I’m going to juggle him + a NB

GTKY: What are you planning to binge watch on maternity leave?
I don’t watch a ton of TV for myself, so I’ll take any recommendations!

Upcoming Appointments: MFM appointment on Wednesday.  FX she's still on her curve!
How are you feeling?: Crabby. My emotional potty training 2yo is wiping me out.  Plus the heat.  Ugh. 🥵
Rants/Raves: Rave: My in laws are coming tonight and they're always so helpful.  May get some things done and have a yard sale!
Questions: What do you do to relieve pelvic pain/ pressure??
GTKY: What are you planning to binge watch on maternity leave? Nothing on my list yet!
  • @sph97 I feel ya with the toddler.  He's driving me crazy!!
  • @sph97 My 2 year old is very clingy too right now. It is probably a combination of the age and the baby coming soon. I plan to baby wear a lot and thankfully I will have help much of the time (the nanny who watches the other kids while I work will still be coming to help with them while I’m on maternity leave). Hopefully there is someone who can help you manage the toddler so you can focus on bonding with baby.

@lexilougolden the only thing that I have found that helps (temporarily) with pelvic pressure is sitting on a yoga ball.

Baby is the size of a (an): eggplant
    Team blue/pink/green: green
    Upcoming Appointments: 3 weeks
How are you feeling?: I have started feeling dizzy whenever I move. OB says it's a normal thing to happen in later pregnancy. I don't see how I'm supposed to work when I'm about to fall over at any given time.
Rants/Raves: My in-laws have been visiting the last few days to help us with some big projects around the house. They've been an incredible support and we appreciate them so much. Excited to have my parents out later in the month for more of the same.
Questions: Anyone experience dizziness during pregnancy and have a solution?
GTKY: What are you planning to binge watch on maternity leave?  I'll see if I can catch up on all the Marvel movies I'm behind on. With the 20mo running around, I'm not sure there will be much binging of anything.

@sph97 My parents and in-laws both had 4+ kids and they've told me that it will all fall into place when the next one comes. Every additional kid means an adjustment in how you do things with the previous kid(s), but it will happen naturally and organically. I really hope so! I also am the Velcro my toddler sticks to right now and it's not easy. I've been letting things go and focusing on things needed to get by. We will get through this!

@lexilougolden I second the yoga ball idea. I find that getting into a modified child's pose where the knees are more spread to accommodate my belly is a nice, relaxing pelvic floor stretch.

Baby is the size of a (an): some kind of squash
    Team blue/pink/green: pink
Upcoming Appointments: 7/1 unless I need to go sooner if I test positive for parvovirus
How are you feeling?: overall ok. I’ve been feeling increasingly anxious because it feels like everything is going wrong
Rants/Raves: going for my parvovirus antibody tests today, really hoping it shows old immunity so I don’t need tons of follow ups and to worry about complications
Questions: has anyone else dealt with being exposed to fifth disease during pregnancy? Honestly I never knew it was something that could cause issues. I’m blown away by all the stuff I’m reading and no one ever talks about this particular virus even though it’s common
GTKY: What are you planning to binge watch on maternity leave? Probably an older comfort show like Gilmore Girls or Modern Family or Everybody Loves Raymond
  • @lqbtqmommy the dizziness is so strange. It hit me for the first time coaching my daughter’s soccer game on Saturday and I thought I was going to need to sit down. I was so glad it was the last game

Baby is the size of a (an): asparagus

    Team blue/pink/green: blue

Upcoming Appointments: tomorrow- hoping we talk more about her thoughts about induction since I have GD

How are you feeling?: good! Starting to get more tired since I’ve upped my walking to include little walks after each meal to help with the blood sugars

Rants/Raves: we have another childbirth class tonight and my husband actually enjoys going!

Questions: Any tips for preparing a dog for a new baby?

GTKY: What are you planning to binge watch on maternity leave? Not sure yet, but I’ll be watching others responses to get some ideas

@kelsey_nach we had my IL’s to bring home my sons NB hat from the hospital to let our dog sniff before he brought baby home so he would be familiar with babies scent!
Dog was a red nose pit, and from day one was always so gentle with baby. I think it helped he was familiar with babies scent prior to bringing him home! They also let their dogs sniff the hat so when we visited they’d be familiar as well.
  • EDD / Weeks + Days: I’m 30 plus 4.
FTM/STM/TTM+: My third!? Am I crazy????
Baby is the size of a (an): I think it says zucchini which is ridiculous but whatever. Feels like an XL basketball.
    Team blue/pink/green: pink
Upcoming Appointments: On the 12th. We’ve gone to every 2 weeks now.
How are you feeling?: Super crazy irritable. I have no patience. EVERYTHING sets me off. I might cry or scream or break down. It doesn’t take much.
Rants/Raves: my cat pees on everything. I’m over it. It’s been like this for years but we’re trying to talk meds with the vet now to see if it helps before baby comes.
    Questions: nope.
GTKY: What are you planning to binge watch on maternity leave? Good question. Been trying to figure that out. Will see all your answers :)
  • @kelsey_nach we had a small receiving blanket that we wrapped our newborn in and then my husband brought it home for my dog to get used to.  We were in the hospital 5 days (long induction and csection) so it gave us time to do that.  My dog was thrilled to meet him.
  • Thank you @lexilougolden and @sph97 ! I will definitely try getting a blanket or something to my dog before we bring home the baby. Feet suggestions!

Baby is the size of a (an): Eggplant
    Team blue/pink/green: green
Upcoming Appointments: Just did my 3 hour glucose test today.  Nothing else until a doc appointment next week.
How are you feeling?: Nervous about my test.  In general, I've noticed that my appetite has gone down and I'm getting more random food aversions.
Rants/Raves: I think I know what she means, but I wish my mom would stop telling people that I got all of my fun out of the way before having kids...like my life is going to only consist of looking at or taking care of Spud.  I see lots of people getting out and having all kinds of fun with their little ones, even traveling!
Questions: Does anyone one else have problems with only really getting comfortable sleeping on one side, but then getting leg muscle cramps on that same side?
GTKY: What are you planning to binge watch on maternity leave? Probably Monk, Brookyln 99, or The French Chef, depending on how silly I'm feeling....possibly all of them.
  • @lolothenailtech My vet tested for urinary crystals and also prescribed a monthly shot for arthritis when my cat started doing that.  I do still sometimes have to check him (I ask if we have to potty and tell him that if we do, we should do it in the potty) when I catch him digging in other places, but overall he has been doing a lot better.
