Upcoming Appointments: first intake appt next week! No US til 6/17.
How are you feeling?: Tired, bloated, nauseous - but all in all not too bad.
Rants/Raves: Got to tell my 2 best friends about the pregnancy yesterday! It was fun and I loved their surprised reactions.
Questions: What is everyone taking for prenatals? I think I’m gonna have to switch. I’ve been using the Ritual prenatal with the addition of some D3 and b6/b12/folic acid, but I think the Ritual capsules are giving me fish burps and I literally cannot stand it anymore lol
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to this summer? Going on vacation to the coast of Maine in a few weeks! That’s when we’ll tell my parents & brother/SIL. We’re so excited!
Team blue/pink/green: green, but we should get Sneak Peek Test results tomorrow!!
Upcoming Appointments: First OB appt/US tomorrow!
How are you feeling?: Great! I feel pretty normal with minimal symptoms
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to this summer? Some fun events with friends and family and getting to the point where we feel comfortable sharing our big news more widely--that will be super fun!
Upcoming Appointments: 6/6 intake with nurse at new clinic; actual ultrasound/OB appt pending (so frustrating)
How are you feeling?: I woke up a little nauseous this morning which was weirdly reassuring, but lately I’ve felt good (@kendyb77 and I have discussed this lol). I remain bloated. Emotionally, I feel a little anxious but overall content.
Rants/Raves: we don’t think enough about the waiting game and miscarriage fears that come during this phase, (when we are pre-pregnancy). The anxiety about that has been kind of surprising. I’m hanging in there though.
Questions: N/A
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to this summer? My family coming to visit and stay with us this summer (I live out of state of all family)! And telling more loved ones the exciting news once/if things continue towards a healthy pregnancy.
Baby is the size of a (an): Jack, gumball, or cherry
Team blue/pink/green: Currently green. I think it's a boy. My kids think it's a girl. We will find out with the NIPT at my 12 week appt.
Upcoming Appointments: June 28th, 12 week.
How are you feeling?: So sick. So tired. I feel like I had fallen into a sort of predictable pattern where my nausea got worse throughout the day and was worst at dinner. Now I just feel sick all day and I'm gagging over all the smells.
Rants/Raves: I am going to a camp at the lake for an annual retreat this weekend, and I'm kinda dreading it. It's a church camp that our extended family rents every year for a reunion and I usually look forward to it, but our family will be in a bunk cabin without a bathroom... so I know I won't sleep well and I'll have to walk outside in the middle of the night to the bathrooms to pee... ugh. Anyway. Hopefully I can still enjoy it a little.
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to this summer? The end of the first trimester! LOL. But seriously, we are going to Gatlinburg TN in July, and I'm really glad I will be through the first trimester for the trip. Hopefully I will be feeling that second trimester energy and able to handle some of the hikes we wanted to take (with two littles, they are pretty mild anyway).

@tpwkalyn I used to take the regular Ritual vitamins and I couldn't handle to fishy burps, so I stopped. I take Vitafusion Prenatal Gummies, and did in my first two pregnancies as well. I really can't handle swallowing pills without gagging right now so they are great.

Baby is the size of a (an): cherry or piece of popcorn!
Team blue/pink/green: blue
Upcoming Appointments: Just had my first OB appt yesterday which went well and my final “graduation” appt at our fertility clinic next Monday - so bitter sweet, I will miss them so much!
How are you feeling?: very very green, the nausea is next level. They put me on Diclegis (B6 and Unisom), it has helped.
Rants/Raves: Feels like I’ve been in the first trimester for years, I don’t want to wish the time away but I am so ready to move into the next phase. Feeling sick is also getting very old at this point.
Questions: None for the moment
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to this summer? Like many, so excited to share our news with our friends and extended family! Looking forward to some down time, resting and hopefully enjoying this special experience while feeling better!
@kmtz89 Not me forgetting not everybody experiences summer at the same time 🤦♀️ Where do you live? What are you most looking forward to this *winter*? (Or what was your favorite thing about last summer?)
8+1weeks and I’m having major fomo 😭 I have to wait until my 11th week for my doctors appointment because all the others were booked. This is my first pregnancy so I’m anxious to get in there!
Feeling: tired, nauseous, bleh
hoping for a girl!
Looking forward to a summer where I beach and finally have an excuse for my stomach pouch! Haha
@MandyBeeSLP I might have to switch to gummies. This past week I have been so bad about taking my prenatal and fish oil pills because I was so afraid they will make me throw up, which they actually did yesterday morning along with my blood pressure medication so that was frustrating.
EDD / Weeks + Days: January 3rd / 9w 5d

Baby is the size of a (an): Cherry
Team blue/pink/green: green for now
Upcoming Appointments: June 14th for NIPT and other blood tests
How are you feeling?: Exhausted. And Nauseous on and off. With my first I felt hungover all day - slight headache and mild nausea throughout the day. With this one I feel fine and then all of a sudden the nausea hits HARD. I'm not sure which is/was worse. Also, I was sick a few weeks ago (my daughter brought home the daycare ick) and we just got back from vacation Monday and we are all sick again. Ugh...
Rants/Raves: I loved taking a vacation but coming back to work has been tough. Especially because I had a bad moment this morning with morning sickness. Thankfully my one co-worker who I am really close with already knows so I didn't have to really hid it.
Questions: How does everyone feel about NIPT? I did it with my first and got a weird result on one of the tests. They wanted to do more testing but we opted out and she turned out fine but it was a little stressful for a few weeks. We are going to do it again because we want to know the sex of the baby but I'm a little nervous about the other results.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to this summer? Like most - my family coming to visit for a little bit. I also live out of state from my family so it will be nice to spend time with them.
Upcoming Appointments: had my confirmation us on 6/4, next appt is 6/25
How are you feeling?: Tired, scatterbrained, so much gas and bloating! Mild nausea off and on, but more so heartburn. And I have discovered that driving is fine, but riding passenger means motion sickness the entire trip.
Rants/Raves: The last few weeks of work have felt like an eternity. I work in education, so the end of the year is already long and arduous, but throw in all the first tri symptoms AND working on my degree, AND a busy baseball season for the 10 year old, and I am so ready for the last day of school to be here already! The one highlight is that I am one of a handful of pregnant educators in our building and it’s been fun getting to share this experience with them and talk about how our littles will all get to have a built in play group as they grow up.
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to this summer? Not working! I usual take a summer school or ESY position in district, but I saved up this year so that I can spend my summer fast tracking through my college program and spending time with my son. Now that I’m pregnant, I’m doubly glad that I made that choice!
@aisleofviewtwo haha no worries, I am certainly the minority. I live in Tanzania, east africa, though I am an American.
So winter here isn't really winter per say, but day time highs in the 60s feels so cold to us. Honestly I just grin and bear it and hold my breath til around September when it starts to be warm. My kids love swimming so they really miss the pool during this time. It will be super hot when I'm super pregnant so not looking forward to that.
