Week 36 and still breech (ECV experience)

My first born turned head down before birth but I forget how soon she did. Has anyone ever had experience with an ECV or had been breech until late this pregnancy but turned in time?

Yup my baby was breeched at 34 weeks, head down at 36, and hour later turned transversed. Went in the next day and he was head down.  He is measuring over the 99th percentile, so big baby and still able to flip around all over the place. As long as your fluid level is good, they can still move. The best time to go for a ECV would be 38 weeks so they will hopefully stay in place. But that again also depends on the amniotic fluid level.

  • That’s reassuring! Ya I think he keeps going from breech to transverse but never head down during an ultrasound. Which I’ve only had 3 ultrasounds thus far. (An anatomy scan in second and third trimester.) Ultimately, if I need an ECV, hopefully it’s successful. But it sounds like they move around a lot.
