Exclusive pumping - when did you stop?

Almost at 12 weeks postpartum and baby isn’t sleeping well and I’m the only one at home during the day. I’m pumping enough for each session I’m putting in but I struggle to find the time to do the dishes to wash my pump parts so I can pump enough times a day. I am now down to 3 sessions a day and once for her middle night waking. She eats 5-6 times a day. I’m starting to get overwhelmed and have thought about weaning off the pump but I also know that she sometimes has trouble passing the formula we have that we give her twice a day even though it’s Enfamil GentleEase. I feel like I’m in a hard place right now. Even my freezer supply is half gone.

Re: Exclusive pumping - when did you stop?

  • Try refrigerating your pump parts in between sessions. This way you don’t have to wash them as often and you can still pump what /when you need to. Then at the end of the day clean and restart!

Try setting an alarm on your phone so that you’re more willing to go at the time or work in between the alarms better. Time management sucks but always helps me.even just with cleaning.
I’ll set an hour alarm and try to get as much as i can done within that hour. It may help you with timing pumping sessions and being more intentional!
