How are you feeling?: tired. Nausea has returned and daily BH are wearing me thin.

Rants/Raves:
Rant- not pregnancy related but my MIL watched my 2 y/o for me while I went to my OB appointment. She took him to the pool at our grandmothers house (without my knowledge) and left him sitting on the edge. She walked away to go to the pool house to get floats and he fell in and they had to pull him out. She is trying to paint me out as overreacting for being upset- but who leaves a 2 y/o unattended on the edge of a pool?! I don’t think I can trust her to take him without me this summer and I’m sure it’s going to cause an argument and she’ll accuse me of being overprotective. I tried to take him swimming Saturday and he won’t even get in with me, he’s scared to death of the pool now. I’m just so upset his first “swim” of the year was him nearly freaking drowning and I had no clue he was even going to the pool that day. I literally pulled up to my MIL’s to pick him up and they weren’t home and I had to call her to see where they were. She has kept him maybe 3 times this year and wonders why we don’t ask her to have him all the time. 😩

watermelon and homemade ice cream! I’m looking forward to snacking on some cold watermelon by the pool this summer.

@sph97 OMG I would be absolutely furious. The fact that she would even insinuate that you are overreacting is crazy. I  so glad your little one is ok and I hope that his fear of the pool can be overcome quickly.

Upcoming Appointments: this Thursday for a nurse visit and growth ultrasound, also waiting on MFM since I was referred to them after my glucose screening 

How are you feeling?: actually pretty good. I’ve changed my eating and I definitely have more energy than I did beforehand.
 

Rants/Raves: Rave - taking the kids on a camping trip this weekend and very excited about it. I just pray the beds in the cabin we booked are somewhat comfortable. Very excited though for some relaxation and fun.

@theneno1012 she just keeps telling us “he didn’t even breath any water I pulled him out so fast” but still. That does not make the situation any better, especially since she had to run from the other side of the pool to grab him up. I didn’t snap, I think I was just in semi shock from just finding out I more likely than not have GD, they’re expecting baby to come earlier than my first, and then she nonchalantly tried to tell me my son fell in a 7ft deep pool. 😵‍💫

How are you feeling?: good! I took a motherhood essentials class over the weekend and learned a lot. I also now have resources if I need anything between now and postpartum 

Rants/Raves: raves: I did my first couple finger pricks and my blood sugar is looking good!

Questions: has anyone used a doula previously or planning to with this pregnancy?

@sph97 omg, I'd be beyond upset.  How terrifying! I don't even leave my 2yo in the bathtub alone at all because crazy things can happen! So sorry.

How are you feeling?: tired,  can't get comfortable sleeping.  Emotional today. 

Rants/Raves: Rant: I love doing a thing or two over the weekends but my husband likes to book us solid and it exhausts my introvert self.  I feel like I get no time to recharge.  He needs social activity for recharging.  It's a funny balance we try to find. Rave: Had a migraine consult last week and feeling good about getting my migraines under control if they come back after baby comes. 

Questions: Anyone have pregnancy insomnia?

How are you feeling?: Large! Ungainly! Clumsy!

Rants/Raves: rants- Last week of second trimester and I already feel like it's third trimester. Raves- I love feeling those little baby kicks and rolls so much through the day. I know I will miss that once baby is born.
