is it fair to ask that everyone who would like to be in a future facebook group, participate in the weekly check in threads at the very least? I want to include everyone who wants to join AND im a bit sceptical to join a facebook group with people i haven’t gotten to “know” at all. Especially because once we’ve moved to private facebook i’m more likely to be sharing pictures of my kids and more personal info that i wont put here on a public forum. Also, if your username is still knottie, it’s really hard to distinguish who is who so if you change your username then it’s easier to get to know one another. I hope everyone joins because i’ve loved being a part of my last two bump groups and i hope we can make this one can be just as great!!

@babywiik i haven’t been participating in the weekly forums because this platform has terrible user interface compared to Facebook, discord, Reddit, etc. it’s a pain to answer the weekly check in questions on my phone so I only did it once

I'm interested in a FB group. @elevensies I agree the interface is a little challenging here.

@elevensies and really anyone else, please feel free to answer the weekly check in prompts by just typing in your answers.  Don't feel like you have to copy and paste.  The weekly check ins are just so that we can get to know each other and share how the week is going.  For me, I like the structure of having a weekly thread or threads about specific topics but as far as the discussion in the thread it doesn't have to be very structured if that makes sense and helps.

I'm typically on a computer because of work so I don't use the app as much.  So hopefully this helps because I would like to get to know everyone who wants to be a part of this group.

@elevensies and @bcml i totally understand! I also think the bump could use some major updates to make their forums more user friendly. Thankfully, everyone I’ve ever “met” via the bump has been genuine and my last two bump groups have been great. I like to think the best of everyone and everyone has different comfort levels with how much they’re willing to share online, private facebook group or public forum. But i’ve heard stories of weirdos who make up pregnancies…for what reason, im not sure🤷🏻‍♀️ that being said, i feel that its reasonable to expect everyone to participate to some extent here, at least so you have a somewhat familiar username to the most of us before I’m comfortable joining a facebook group where i share more personal information. If you dont want to wait and participate here i know there are plenty of facebook groups already designated to birth months that you could join or you could start a new one. But I truly do hope you’ll bare with us all and join us here in this dumpy bump forum and come along when we move to facebook! Its been so uplifting to have a group if moms who are going through the same thing as me, that i can lean on. I hope this group will be the same❤️

For me, while the bump is not the most user friendly interface (I’m only using the app on my phone), it really does feel safer and more intimate. For instance, I’m in the January due date Reddit sub but there is something like 1000+ on there (all verified). It’s a great resource but not a way to bond and get to know people personally. Here, it’s been cool to see how I relate 1:1, from others who have also worried about symptoms/lack of symptoms, to relating on hobbies and regions. This is my first bump group, but when people start to open up, it’s actually special.

I agree, I mostly use a computer to access the bump though on my phone i find it easier in browser than the app for sure. 
And would hope to join a FB group later down the line though

I never heard about the FB group being established but I joined the Reddit group and associated discord channel

Im also very interested in a fb group. I love using the bump app, but it isn't always the most user friendly when it comes to conversations and connecting with people
