High amniotic fluid at 38 weeks

Hello!
I am reaching out to see if anyone else is expecting or has experienced high amniotic fluid late in pregnancy. My fluid level was 33 and the baby had to be monitored for two hours after my last non-stress test. My skin feels like it’s going to rip open. I’m scheduled for a c-section but I made the mistake of googling the scary outcomes of high amniotic fluid. I just really need reassurance that this is not life threatening to the baby or me.
