Swallowing Air while bottle feeding - gassy baby

I’m at a loss of what to do. I have read everything and anything on the internet about different bottles (we use dr browns narrow neck with the vent) and slow paced bottle feeding. My baby is so gassy that about 45 minutes into sleep she moves around so much and farts and cries and wakes up and when she doesn’t wake up she just continues to fart and cry every so often which means no sleep for the parents. We even use mylicon baby gas drops. But obviously that doesn’t solve the main problem of her swallowing air when she bottle feeds. A level one flow is too slow and takes her 45 minutes to finish a bottle and she still sucks in air. A level two means she’s gulping it down so quickly in 10-15 minutes but taking in a lot of air again. Please help! I’m so desperate!

I, too, have a gassy/burpy baby. I currently use the playtex bottles with the plastic inserts. They seem to have helped her. We still have to spend a considerable amount of time burping, but it’s way less than before. 

I’ve also read that changing formulas can be helpful too.

Same here. We use the mylicon gas drops every 2 hours and burp after every .5-1 oz (or attempt to). We also had to size up from a 1 to a 2 nipple for a faster flow because 45 min was too long for him to eat 2-3 oz. We hold him more upright when we feed and only let him eat .5-1oz at a time. This has helped tremendously!

I have been using size 2 nipple for my baby. I also use to add gripe water into her feeding bottle, this helps in burping and also avoids gas buildup in the tummy. You could also try different feeding positions.

we switched to boon bottles and have seen the WORLD of a difference. Also, the formula we use has a ready to feed option and I feel lIke I get a way better burp out of my baby when we use that one!
