Pity party day

Just going to pity party out loud here for a minute because y’all get it.

I’ve been feeling pretty good lately (9w5d) and then yesterday everything went haywire at bedtime. Couldn’t stop vomiting and peed my pants twice. Had a major meltdown and it continued into this morning.
ive been feeling miserable and crying all day so far and I’m assuming this is just how my day is going to go now so I stayed home from work and I’m feeling guilty about that because we’re heading into our busy season right now.

Ugh.

Thank you.

Re: Pity party day

  • Sending you love. I also felt like shit today. Coming down with a cold. Hopefully not Covid, UGH!

  • sending back to you! Yes I think I'm coming down with a cold as well, which explains a lot. lol.

Is covid still a thing where you are?? I'm in rural Alberta Canada and covid basically isn't a thing here anymore. I haven't heard of anyone getting it in over a year.
  • Joining the pity party! Yesterday was ROUGH. I’m still sick as a dog but went to the office anyway, on my way home I got delayed an hour (public transit issues), meaning my husband was late for work (we do shifts: I work during the day while he stays home with the kids and then he goes to work when I get home). I got home, hungry, nauseous, exhausted and desperately needing a shower, both kids immediately screamed at me over stuff they wanted and I just broke down and started sobbing. I never do that. Felt better after my shower but damn. Having zero downtime when you’re sick and pregnant is a challenge. I wish I could just get home from work and relax, instead I solo parent until past bedtime 🙃

  • @mitchip What part of Alberta are you from? I've mostly lived in BC, but was in Calgary for 7 years.
I feel like covid is mostly a thing of the past, cases few and far between. Where I am on the coast, strep throat is running rampant right now.
Hubby got all frisky this morning because I wasn't wearing underwear, had to tell him it was because I had a coughing fit when I woke up to pee in the middle of the night and leaked in them... 🤣😭
    Hope you're feeling better!
  • I'm a about an hour and half NE of Edmonton.

I think I'm starting to see the light. The symptoms are getting more spread out so that's a relief.

I've started wearing my period underwear everyday which has been super helpful!! lol.
