I am brand new to the forum and am just starting to think about my registry! I was wondering if anyone who has been through the process could help me understand how they did it and what the process is like. These are some of the questions that came to mind if anyone can answer them or even just a few. Realizing this process is so complicated and there are SO, SO many products out there, so any help will be huge. Thank you thank you!
1. How much time did you spend building it? What schedule - like did you do it all at once, when during your pregnancy did you start?
2. What did you use to build your baby registry and why that thing?
3. How did you feel about setting it up and managing it?
4. What aspects of the process were the most time-consuming/which items took the most time and why?
5. How confident were you in the items you ended up putting on the registry and why?
6. How much did you try to personalize items for your needs vs. go with “top picks” from a site?
7. How did you get your questions answered about items while creating the registry?
8. What were your most trusted sources?
9. What are the items that were the perfect fit for your family and why? What about any top overall picks that ended up not working out for you?
Re: Baby Registry help!!!
1. Don't focus too much on how long it takes. My last pregnancy, I started the registry around the talk of having a shower started so it was probably a couple months before my shower. I did not do it all at once. I did it in segments (ex: maybe feeding and diapering and bath one night / nursery items and decor another)
2. I will be using Target (and possibly Amazon) this time around. Last time was when babies r us was still around lol. My friend had a baby 6 months ago and she loved how easy Target was and it had a checklist to help guide you. Amazon was super easy for our wedding so maybe doing one on there too.
3. It didn't bother me at all and it doesn't bother me thinking about doing it this time.
4. Picking out what car seat & stroller combo I wanted.
5. Very confident because I went through reviews of items online and made a decision that I felt worked for me.
6. I always went with my needs.
7. Asking family and friends but I didn't have many questions.
8. Family and friends who had been through it before.
9. We NEVER used the diaper garbage can. I don't know why but we didn't. I also didn't use a bouncer. The swing was the only thing my son needed / wanted if I wasn't holding him.

I completely understand how overwhelming starting a baby registry can feel. Personally, I used MyRegistry because it allowed me to add items from any store and it kept everything all in one place. It made the process super easy to manage, and I loved that I could customize it to fit my needs. Plus, the customer service was really helpful when I had questions and they gave great recommendations.
I recommend checking out their baby registry guide. It helped me feel much more confident about the items I added and made the whole process less stressful!
