3rd Trimester

31 Weeks 😮‍💨

Been feeling a little down mostly
Because I am so done feeling like this and being so big. Anyone else frustrated and just ready for delivery day (even though I’m terrified to deliver)? All I see are excited moms and I’m just wondering if it’s normal to feel over it and ready to just be done with being pregnant.

Re: 31 Weeks 😮‍💨

  • I don’t usually feel that tired until 36-37+ weeks. But every person is different and every pregnancy is different. Like for this 3rd pregnancy of mine, I’ve been having false labor for almost 3 weeks and it is so painful and exhausting so I’m DONE! Worried at how tired I’ll be when delivery time does come. Focus on self care and resting (I know easier said than done)
there must be one or two things you can take off your plate so you aren’t wearing yourself out so much each day to make the final weeks easier. The further along we get, the more we have to pull back on what we can do. Just like we have to eat smaller and smaller meals but more frequently since there is no room left 😂

    good luck!

  • @mrsfreestone I barely do anything during the day as it is haha. I’m just exhausted all the time and I find it’s easier to breathe when I’m laying down. I’m 5’2” so I’m almost maxed out in space at this point! It’s my first as well so all these feelings are new and very foreign so I’m just sensitive to everything!
  • I am definitely starting to feel over it with my pregnancy. I look like a whale, can’t breathe, indigestion and nausea have been hard to deal with, it’s just been a lot. 2 more months to go!
  • My babies always end up very long (tall hubby) and so they get up in my lungs like crazy. I have to lift my arms above my head and drape them on my head while sitting or standing sometimes to be able to breathe. Maybe try that and see if it gives you any relief.
The feelings and hormones can get pretty crazy, totally normal. My first I was a ball of anxiety and emotions. When I was struggling I would check what I was eating and drinking, take a warm shower for the aches and then try to relax for 30 minutes (no screens) before going to sleep at night. If the exhaustion feels daily though and you feel like you get no relief at all, I’d talk to your dr or midwife about it to rule out anything else causing it. (I’ve been anemic a few times during pregnancy and it can cause exhaustion)
  • Thank you for the suggestions!! I think I feel better when I eat and drink less sugar and caffeine. I cut myself off the last two days and haven’t been as tired, but man the emotional rollercoaster I’m on doesn’t help the exhaustion. This is my first and only so I totally am overthinking everything. I also changed doctors last week which is stressful. I am not anemic, but adding more protein can’t hurt so I will try that as well. Thank you!!!
