hi! i have thyroid disease since several years before pregnancy, specifically hashimoto’s. i have to take synthroid and the levels were recently increased when i was 24 weeks because my tsh levels were rising. right before they were increased i did feel less fetal movement and i just generally felt horrible (those with thyroid disease know). anyway at my 21 week anatomy ultrasound baby was 52% and abdomen was 53% which is right in line with my first baby as well. no concerns noted in the ultrasound. then at my 26 week ultrasound baby dropped to 25% and abdomen was 17%. i noted the significant drop to my obgyn and she noted to do ultrasounds every 3 weeks. i’m currently 28 weeks, next ultrasound is next week, but i saw my endocrinologist today, and she noted a newfound thyromegaly but no palpable nodules. (i did have some nodules noted a couple years ago on ultrasound but they were tiny and never caused issues). i’m keeping in touch with all my doctors frequently but im looking for any stories of a similar situation where baby turned out okay? i’m concerned with a possible low birth weight and premature labor by what im reading online with the trends going on with her percentages and the thyroid enlargement.
