Just had my first ultrasound unexpectedly today after the intake nurse suggested I move the appointment earlier (I’ve had some one-sided abdominal pain). I was so nervous, but all looks well! It confirmed that I’m at 6w0d and due 12/4. Such a relief to see that tiny flicker of an heartbeat, but I’m still feeling that twinge on the side. The tech suggested it could be round ligament pain—can that happen early? I also have uc, so I’m wondering if it might have nothing to do with the pregnancy at all. 

Anyone else experience unusual pain or other strange symptoms? This is my first pregnancy, so I’m definitely eager to hear other parents’ stories!

I get random tinges of pain, probably a muscle acting weird in my upper tummy on the sides. It’s weird how your muscles relax and ligaments stretch, but I’m glad you are all good and doctors are not alarmed!! God bless you and baby

Your uterus starts pretty small and then starts expanding super quick, so it's not surprising you'd be getting little pains as it does, especially if its your first time and its never had to stretch before :)
