Mass on Placenta?

Hi All, FTM expecting a little boy this July. We recently had our anatomy scan (3rd attempt, was sent to a perinatologist because our little guy was uncooperative the first 2 times with showing his heart). The doctors said our baby looks good but there was a mass on my placenta (no venous; measuring 4.5x2x7 cm) as well as placental lakes. They indicated that we will have a followup to monitor and make sure it’s not interfering with baby’s growth. Has anyone had experience with something like this before?
