Rants/Raves: went to a used baby and kids sale event and scored a lot of cute clothes and some random things like crib sheets and books! It was fill a bag for $10, and you can stuff quite a lot in a bag when it comes to baby clothes!
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most excited to eat after having your baby? I still do vegetarian sushi, and I microwave cold cuts. So really the only thing I've completely abstained from is alcohol. So I guess a nice glass of red wine sounds nice.
Upcoming Appointments: virtual appt with midwives on 4/1
How are you feeling?: Really good. Like so good it almost has me worried 😂
Rants/Raves:
Raves - my husband and I had two date nights last week which was so great - we went to see a live show by one of my favorite podcasts (Normal Gossip) on Wednesday and then went to a nice dinner and saw some music on Saturday. Another rave is that I finally feel like my older daughter’s room is coming together! Also, I passed my GD test 🎉
Rant - I have an infection one pinky finger around the nail. I went to my PCP this morning and she said I let it get so bad that I have to go to the ER to get it drained….so I’m currently waiting at the ER 😭
Questions: none at the moment
GTKY: What are you most excited to eat after having your baby? Oh I’m definitely at the stage of wanting everything I can’t have so I’m excited for it all but I think sushi is at the top of the list.
@kbru88 I’ve been doing cooked sushi and vegetarian sushi, but it’s not the same! There’s a very specific roll I want. Also I’m jealous you got good clothes at the used stuff sale - I went to one this weekend and mostly struck out.
@curlyandpreggo I feel like those sales always have more boy options in the first few sizes. Girl stuff can be a bit crazy sometimes lol. It also helped I got there an hour early and was toward to front of the line.
Team blue/pink/green: Blue - All boys in our house
Upcoming Appointments: 28 w coming up next in April. Just did 24wk on Thursday - everything looks good.
How are you feeling?: Mostly really good. Laying down has gotten harder, that limbo between sitting up and laying down takes some planning. We put up a basketball hoop in the driveway, and that's been fun after school. I need to stick to playing H-O-R-S-E and Around the World more than 1:1 with the 9 year old, because I feel sore in the pelvic floor on those nights.
Rants: It's a hard pill to swallow that I've been so sedentary all winter. I have to take it easier than I thought. Raves: My husband has been spending every weekend working on house projects to get the boys' rooms rearranged. We added cupboards, storage and closet shelves to get things out of the spare room the last two weeks and we ordered new windows for all the bedrooms. We will replace our siding, soffit, and fascia this spring when we replace the windows and all before baby comes. Our green house with peach brick will be red siding, with red brick and natural stained cedar! I think I'm most excited at the prospect of a cedar garage door!
Questions: None atm
GTKY: What are you most excited to eat after having your baby? I still eat all the things, but I was never into sushi, so this one is probably easier for me. I still occasionally eat canned tuna, cold lunch meat, raw cookie dough... I will say I'm glad I'll be able to have some hard ciders at the end of summer and into fall.
@kbru88 We have an annual kids clothing/toy swap coming up in my town and I'm hoping to score big. @curlyandpreggo Ouch! I hope it's not too painful (and they give you some good antibiotics)! @maple1422 Those renovations sound amazing! I love cedar!
EDD / Weeks + Days: June 14 / 27+3
FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM
Baby is the size of a (an): Romaine
Team blue/pink/green: Pink
Upcoming Appointments: MFM on Friday to take a look at this placenta (fingers and toes crossed!!) and see how baby girl is growing
How are you feeling?: I've been feeling really good this week. I switched up my exercise program a few weeks back and I think it's starting to pay off. Way less aches and pains and I have been sleeping better at night. Also helps that the sun has been shining and spring is nearly here.
Rants/Raves: I can't believe it's only a few more days until 3rd trimester. I sincerely didn't know that we would ever get here again, and I still sometimes have to remind myself that this baby is really happening, and soon. I'm feeling less panicked now becuase I have finally starting preparing. I filled an amazon cart with the basic essentials, went car shopping (no luck yet, but at least I started the process lol), and have diapers and wipes enough to get us through the first few months.
Questions: NATM
GTKY: What are you most excited to eat after having your baby? Unpasturized cheeses, raw oysters, and bubbly wine!
Upcoming Appointments: dr appointment in a month, just had 3rd trimester ultrasound today!
How are you feeling?: pretty good. Heartburn occasionally but nothing really to complain about
Rants/Raves: rave - seeing baby today and being reassured that they are measuring right on track - 3lbs1oz! rant - this baby is breech. Just like my first was! I ended up vaginally delivering my son breech at 36+6 weeks after unsuccessfully trying to spin him. At this point I don’t think I we will try an ECV again (external spin attempt lol) and have the same plan as last time - I want to go into labor naturally unless we reach my due date, then a scheduled C Section can happen. Once in labor I’m fine if it ends up in a c section. Hopefully my dr is on board (different dr than my first pregnancy). It’s crazy having to think about this again!
Questions: not a question but if any of you ladies have a breech baby ask me anything because I feel like an expert at this point 😂
GTKY: What are you most excited to eat after having your baby? I really enjoy having a cold beer in the summer so I’d say that and a nice medium rare steak. Not a fan of sushi so that’s been easy
Upcoming Appointments: 3/25 for glucose and rhogam
How are you feeling?: overall pretty good, but definitely starting to wear out faster and I spend most weekends sleeping, lol
Rants/Raves: can't think of a rant right now, but rave: signed up for a birthing class through the hospital and my husband is just as excited for it as I am! It's really sweet!
Questions: none at the moment
GTKY: What are you most excited to eat after having your baby? Raw sushi, it's my favorite food and I've really missed it
How are you feeling?: Recovering from the flu. Blah. I barely got out of bed all weekend, but I'm feeling a lot better now. I just have some lingering chest congestion.
Rants/Raves: Rave: My 7 year old also had the flu, but he fared much better than me. He only felt bad for a few hours.
Rant: I'm starting to get so hot at night, waking up covered in sweat.
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most excited to eat after having your baby? Hmm.. I don't really like any of the foods we're not supposed to eat, and I don't drink alcohol. But I would love to have a large cup of coffee without worrying about my caffeine intake.

Baby is the size of a (an): triple scoop waffle ice cream cone
Team blue/pink/green: pink
Upcoming Appointments: two weeks for a check up and I need to go in sometime before then for my glucose test
How are you feeling?: pretty good. Slowing down a bit but not too many aches and pains.
Rants/Raves: rant—I still have so much to do to get ready for this baby; rave—the sun has come out and I feel like a new person. The PNW winters are hard.
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most excited to eat after having your baby? Raw sushi, especially tuna
How are you feeling?: Starting to get the aches and pains. Idk if it’s because I have been walking more since we are on our baby moon in Canada, but my ankles have been killing me. It almost feels like an ankle cramp, which I didn’t know could even happen. Has anyone else specifically had ankle pain and not foot pain?
Rants/Raves: Rant: I am already over the 3rd trimester and I am not even officially in it yet haha Rave: love having the week off work and getting some quality time with the hubby
Questions: NATM
GTKY: What are you most excited to eat after having your baby? My husband and I love to go to breweries and try new beers, so I am excited to be able to go that again!
Upcoming Appointments: 3D Ultrasound on Saturday and OB appointment on Monday
How are you feeling?: Slightly overwhelmed. Just gotta remember to take everything one day at a time
Rants/Raves:
Rave- just closed on a new house. We are moving in May and while there are so many things to do, there is also the relief that I can finally start working on Nursery.
