Re: TFAS w/o Jan 15

  • What number are you trying for? 3

    Month/Cycle? It’s been a minute

    WTO/TWW? TWW!

    Ages of other child(ren)? 3 and 7

Any thoughts about this cycle? My chart looks promising?

    Any questions?

Rant/Rave? Rave- I just bought a 2019 vw altas and I looooove it! My minivan had some safety issue come up in recent crash testing so I wanted something safer but was sad about losing the functionality of my minivan, but the atlas I don’t feel like I “lost” anything- and it was still under manufacture warranty.

GTKY: What kind of family vacations do you like to do (or want to do in the future
We usually have to go to Montana to visit my inlaws, or Florida to visit my family.
I’d love to do a cruise with the kids. On site childcare, minimal chaos they can get into.

  • What number are you trying for? 3, but first two are adopted/being adopted

    Month/Cycle? Stopped counting

    WTO/TWW? TWW

    Ages of other child(ren)? 5 and 6

Any thoughts about this cycle? We weren’t super trying this cycle, so it’s probably not going to happen

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? The cold here has been pretty brutal. I was worried the kids would get cabin fever because we were stuck indoors for several days, but at least they were fine with it.

So far we’ve only done trips visiting family, but we are planning to do a trip this year with just us, ideally an international trip. We really want to travel the world as a family.
  • @charmedlifex3 enjoy the new ride!

@britters314 I forget, you're also in the midwest right? I think we're back up in the 30s in a few days thank god. I suppose I should go out and buy a sled now that we have so much snow!

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 3/3

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 1.5y/o

Any thoughts about this cycle? the only reason we'll probably have good timing this cycle is because DH has woken me up a couple times when he's gotten home super late to DTD :joy:

Any questions? I know boys potty train later than girls typically do, but is now a good age to at least have a little potty training toilet in the house to see if he's interested?

Rant/Rave? rant and rave is that we got so much snow last week Tuesday and Friday and that it is apparently equivalent to our average total snowfall midway through the winter season. We are way ahead!! And we survived it woohoo! We've been bitterly cold and the roads have been coated in ice making for VERY bumpy rides but yesterday it looks like most places are fairly well cleared. It was so funny to see so many people complain about the roads and the fact that the plows would cover their mailboxes in snow. Like hello, we normally don't get this much snow all at once like there's only so much anybody can do about it.

GTKY: What kind of family vacations do you like to do (or want to do in the future)? we like to go places. I love anything that's a nice long drive. I'd like to go back to Chattanooga sometime to visit the aquarium. We did that as a trip just the two of us some time after my one FET failed back in 2019 and it was so therapeutic and got me out of feeling so depressed. Now I want to share how much we loved it with DS! The other regular vacation we've done is to northern WI and stay on a lake for a week in the summer with DH's family. Although the last couple years haven't been that relaxing because SIL and BIL are not exactly fun to have in close quarters. SIL always seems to be pissed about something and it totally ruins the mood of the vacation. Hoping to go someday just the 3 of us (or 4???). DH's family can be with us but I think we'd all agree we should stay at separate accommodations instead of trying to fit 6 (now 7, soon to be 8 with SIL being due in a few weeks) people in a tiny cottage house.

  • @inthewoods23 Yeah, we are in Chicago. We didn’t get a ton of snow (although my family out in the suburbs did). What we did get was rain that then froze and got about two inches of snow on top of it, so that’s been fun lol. Also, to your potty training question: both my boys were daytime potty trained before age 2, so it’s not too early to try. We cloth diapered, though, so that was probably a factor.
