A place for all of January seeing as the bump isn't used as much as it was for my other 3 pregnancies.

I'm currently 14ish weeks and I finally got bubs heartbeat with my Doppler at home. My last appointment was 10 weeks and my next isn't until 16 weeks so I haven't heard it yet at the office. It always gives me relief when I can find those thumps before movement becomes noticable.

@jhysmath I also noticed our BMB is a little quiet 😅 I went to see my OB yesterday and was disappointed. She had the doppler in her hand and asked me how far along I was. I told her 12w5d so she said no she'll save it for our next visit in 3 weeks! I don't remember when we started listening for the heartbeat with my first pregnancy 🤔

I went yesterday to the hospital for an apt with the genetic counselor. What I didn't know was that part of it would be blood work for the NIPT and the results take a week, so I can find out the gender at 14 weeks 😳 which is so crazy to me cuz I didn't even find out with my son until the anatomy scan 21 weeks! I'm more anxious to know sooner this time around so these next 7 days better fly by quickly 😆

it is much quieter than it was in my April 22 board. I still prefer the bump over the chaos and trolling in the WTE app though 😅

My next appointment is at 14ish weeks I think, I’m wondering if we’ll do a sonogram since my viability appointment turned into my “initial pregnancy” appointment (praises!)

Which other boards have you all been on? I was Oct 2018 and Nov 2021. Agree quiet here but it’s so different trying to have a moment to check here with 2 kids running around compared to my first pregnancy where I had all the time in the world.

I was on the Oct 2017 board and could barely keep up most of the time 😅 we eventually moved over to FB but the board was still pretty active until the babies were a few months old

I'm so sick of having the sniffles. I have taken claritin for years and my fertility doc told me to stop for pregnancy.

@robotpopcan same! I thought it was allergies from spending NYE at a friend's place and there were 2 dogs and a cat, but it's been nearly 3 weeks now and my nose is so congested every night! My doc said I can continue too take Zyrtec, but I don't even think it's working

I have a May 2018, May 2020 and September 2022 babies I was on the bump for. We moved to FB and currently my September 22 one moved to WhatsApp because that's just easier as in not on Facebook as much. 

I will say I prefer the bump over the crazy huge FB groups and that slowly you get a good group of mom with patience because the bump ends up wonky most days and doesn't work nicely lol

At 14 weeks, my stretchy pants are all suddenly horribly uncomfortable. I really thought I'd be able to go at least 3 more months without needing to buy maternity. FTM problems

Hop in the maternity pants now and enjoy the heck out of them. If you're looking for something to get you by a few more months look into pants extenders with a belly band.

I did order a belly band too! But goodness, I don't feel like I look that pregnant, just fatter but here's my belly telling me my pants have reached their limit!

I wore a pair of pants I use for work during Christmas and they are stretchy, no buttons or zippers. Once I ate dinner, things were over for me 😅 I had to roll it down to below my belly so I could breathe the rest of the evening!

My first pregnancy versus this one have been so different. I didn’t get my first ultrasound until about 11 weeks the first time and my next was the anatomy scan. This pregnancy is higher risk so I feel like I’m at the doc every other week. I’ve seen my little guy spinning around 3x by week 13. I feel so much more settled with this one because of the constant reassurance that everything is going good.

I went to the ER with some cramping and thankfully baby is okay 🥰 and wiggling around in there. Turns out I've got a UTI but I never would have figured that out on my own. Unlike ones I've had in the past this doesn't burn or make me run to the bathroom every few min. On the downside the antibiotics I'm taking are doing a number on my stomach 😫

@winterecho any time I've had a UTI I've been told to either eat a greek yogurt or take a probiotic to help with that issue. 

Glad bambino is ok!

@robotpopcan I've never heard of Greek yogurt for a UTI! I've gotta try that, thanks 😊
