High-Risk Pregnancy

Baby measuring 2 Weeks behind?

I went for my 20 week anatomy scan two weeks ago. The woman who done the scan said my baby looked healthy all but her head measuring a little small but no abnormalities and everything else looked great as far as she could see.

I went back yesterday now 22 weeks and 5 days, to finish the scan ( what she couldn’t get because of placement of baby) it was a different woman. After speaking with the doctor they want to send me to a high risk doctor because my baby is measuring two weeks small but still no abnormalities. They also took blood for a chromosome test currently waiting on the results.

This is my second child, but the first time I’ve been sent to a high risk doctor.
If anyone has went through this and can relate please give me a peace of mind
What are the chances my baby has DS?
What can I do to help her gain weight?

Re: Baby measuring 2 Weeks behind?

  • I also found out baby is measuring about 2 weeks small. We went from the 13th percentile to 44th to 10th in fetal weight with monitoring from extra ultrasounds. I’m expecting to be referred to a specialist at my next appointment as I discussed this option with the doctor last time. Did you receive an answers on your questions? I also have similar questions and am not sure where to find the answers until my next doctor’s appointment which seems so far away.
