At home we use a Nanit and I really like it! It’s a wifi monitor and there are some times when it lags but not very often. It is pricy but I was able to use points to buy ours. I really like how you also get a free year of their basic subscription which we will probably pay for with this baby for the first while at least. When we travel we have a cheaper V tech that works well.
My friend gave me her barely used one. I definitely appreciate it and know it gives lots of parents a peace of mind. But I can also see how it could cause anxiety.

We also use the Nanit and I really like it as well - I already bought a second camera for this one. I really like that I can just have the sound on in the background if I need to take the dog on a walk around the block or if I'm listening to a podcast while I clean. It is definitely on the more expensive side, but ultimately I'm really happy with it.

We also have a cheaper one (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BJVMY43G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for when we travel and it works great for that purpose (you can't use the Nanit and I assume many other wifi monitors when you are in hotels due to the wifi types that are typically offered).
