I’m 5 weeks and started spotting brown for 2 days with cramping on my right side. Then I started spotting more and more and now it’s red. Went to the ER because my new OB can’t get me in until Jan and it’s the weekend so I couldn’t get in anyway. They couldn’t see anything and said it is still too early to tell. My HCG was only 51. I expected it to be higher than that. Looks like I’m probably out. This will be a first for me. I have 4 healthy kiddos and have never had a miscarriage before 😢 Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Re: Trigger**
I’ve been in your shoes, twice - both around 5 weeks and the symptoms were cramps and brown spotting that turned pink and eventually became period like bleeding….unfortunately for me, both resulted in confirmation of loss when I finally went to the ER.
However, 51 isn’t considered a loss even if it’s “expected to be higher” its not the lowest it could be….and if they sent you for a retest of HGC count - I want to encourage you to try to stay optimistic.
My mom told me that my grandma had “her period” (most likely period like bleeding that occurred for other reasons and was seeming monthly) for 4 months during her pregnancy with her 5th child (my mom). Because of that, she didn’t even realize she was pregnant for a long time. If they haven’t confirmed a loss, hang on to that hope.
Same here. I'm 6 weeks 2 days, started bleeding at 6 weeks, still.bleeding and cramping. Dr's are concerned with miscarriage. My first blood test was 1/4 and my HcG was 14....14! I go back tomorrow for the 48 hour blood draw. From my online research either it is a miscarriage or gestational age is wrong ? This is my second baby. I'm Rh positive and have gestational thrombocytopenia and am 32.
