I don't really know where to start. Here's the situation I'm currently 43, have been pregnant 6 times with 3 losses and 3 births and currently have the BC implant in have had it for over 2 years now and have only had like 2 or 3 very light spotting like periods. Now on Dec 5-9 I had what I would consider a normal period, no big deal just went on with my life. Now my bf and I have discussed possibly not replacing my implant when it's time too and just seeing what happens...also not a big deal...now even before I got the implant I had very irregular cycles because of PCOS. Now here's where I could use some advice/opinions/thoughts...before I had the implant I would typically get some mild ovulation pains on the rare occasions that I actually ovulated so I have a general idea of how it feels. Now today I was laying in bed and had some strong uterine cramping and a pinching feeling on both sides which I would say was ovulation pains but I have the implant so my understanding is that I shouldn't ovulate. But the pain and pinching feels only lasted like maybe 5 minutes and then was gone and nothing since. But I swear I think that I did now here is where things get tricky/interesting this past Friday I had gonna down to see my bf and I'll just say we were intimate and we don't use anything else as we didn't feel it was necessary so that was like 3 days earlier and on top of that I've had a cold for like the past 4-5 days. So I guess what I want to know is how likely does everyone think it is that I actually I might have 1) actually ovulated and 2) get pregnant? Just for the record if we did get pregnant we would be happy so that's not an issue. I just am wanting to know how likely others think that it might actually be possible. We do have plans to test cause to us it just seems like way too many things had to line up just perfectly for this to even happen. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Cause from everything that I've read so far is that the implant is supposed to be 99% effective but can become less effective after 2 years and being sick for more then a day or 2 can also decrease BCs effectiveness. On top of the fact that I haven't felt ovulation pains since before I got the implant and then to have what I would say was ovulation pain. Are we just seeing things like this cause we've talked about trying to have a baby or what?Opinions/thoughts/advice?
