I’m so annoyed! My baby is 6 months old. We named her Lucy after so much thought and consideration. My sister in law just had her baby 2 weeks ago. Throughout her pregnancy they were vocal with their name choice, Luna. These names are similar! The nicknames are identical.

At the family Christmas party, my SIL’s husband was making comments, “aw look, the two lulus together.” EXCUSE ME?! I am sure it’s the combination of exhaustion from running after a toddler and baby wearing the whole day, but I got so upset. Like this is clearly our baby’s name, and we’ve been very clear about it. We call her Lulu all the time. I think it’s just rude and inconsiderate to essentially name your baby the same name.

I didn’t say anything when they talked about their plans to name their baby Luna. But now that they are planning to have their baby use the same exact nicknames, I don’t think I can control myself from saying something! Would that be crazy? I like them a lot, but this name thing is getting to me…

They only named their baby Luna based off the popular name list and they like astrology (like what’s your sign type of astrology). No deeper meaning.
