Re: Weekly Randoms 12/12 to 12/18

  • I was in a meeting earlier with my director and the other assistant directors and 1 of the ladies is working remote today since she's too sick to come in. She said she's got a headache, stomachache and feeling nauseous so she took a COVID test and a pregnancy test just in case but they're both negative. My director's eyes went 😳 and he said "I thought you were about to share good news with us!" So now I'm feeling a little better about eventually sharing the news with him (but holding out until Jan)

  • I have my first appointment, which is an ultrasound tomorrow. I'm so nervous. I've only had one ultrasound that was "good" .
  • @jhysmath if you can find someone, anyone, take a support person
  • I have a SCH that is small and going away, but my fertility specialist will not release me to the regular OB/GYN until I get another scan at 9 weeks (Tuesday), which makes me a bit nervous. They have me on pelvic rest and light lifting and activity only but they keep saying it's not a big deal. It feels like a big deal...

In related but happier news, DH and I got to hear baby's heartbeat on Tuesday. I've never heard such a beautiful sound. FX'ed rainbow baby keeps growing strong and healthy.
  • I agree with taking someone for support!

  • I remember being tired with my first pregnancy (12 years ago) but I don’t remember being THIS tired. I feel like I have to constantly lay down and the lack of caffeine doesn’t help. I can’t help but wonder if it’s because I’m 38 and not 25. The combination of being adult tired and pregnant exhausted is kicking my butt and I can’t wait til 2nd trimester energy!

  • I think so too! Last time I was in my 20s and only had to worry about myself, but this time in my 30s with a very energetic 6 year old and a mischievous cat are driving me 🫠 cuz they both want me 24/7 and not daddy

  • I apologize I haven't been on. My ultrasound went great. My midwife was awesome, she was actually the one at the ER when I delivered my third. So much less anxiety after seeing that heart beat.
