Team blue/pink/green: We'll find out in January - so excited!
Upcoming Appointments: Regular OBGYN and MFM appointments in January
How are you feeling?: Really good. That second trimester energy is starting. I'm able to make it through the day without napping or feeling awful, I'm working out regularly, and I'm sleeping better at night. Man, that first trimester is rough!
Rants/Raves: I need to find a way to announce this pregancy to my extended family before my parents do (historically they have told our good news before we've had a chance, grrr), so I tried to get a picture of my kids holding the strip of ultrasound photos in front of the Christmas tree last night. What a disaster. I must have taken 20 and not a single one of them is usable. In every pic, one or both kids look miserable, or my daugher is trying to "fix" her brothers face, or they're not looking at the camera, or my daughter is doing this awful fake smile, . Back to the drawing board....
Questions: NATM
GTKY: Best show you've watched recently? I need a new show so I'm loving this question. It's been out forever but I finally watched Insecure and I thought it was really good.
How are you feeling?: Much better! Turns out I had a stomach bug last week. I’m feeling almost normal!
Rants/Raves: Hmmm I can’t think of any rants or raves today 🤷🏻♀️
Questions: None right now!
GTKY: Best show you've watched recently? So since I’ve been pregnant I’ve mostly just wanted to watch super mindless things - but at some point we watched Only Murders in the Building season 3. I’ve loved every season of that show so far!
Team blue/pink/green: Just found out today, team BLUE! Now we have to decide on a boy name (we have only come up with girls names that we like haha)
Upcoming Appointments: next Wednesday (12/20)
How are you feeling?: So much better. I have energy again and don’t have to take 3 naps a day 😂. Still some nausea but more time than not I feel good
Rants/Raves: we just got our NIPT results back and the baby is negative for all the scary things so that is a huge relief. Also excited to know the gender!
Questions: none right now
GTKY: Best show you've watched recently? We just watched Generation V on Amazon (it’s a “the boys” spinoff). I thought it was really good. I have also been watching Ugly Betty. I know it’s an old one but I really like it
How are you feeling?: Overall better, but still exhausted. I want to pull out my pregnancy pillow not because I need it, but because it's so cozy.
Rants/Raves: My rant and my rave are the same: Waiting on results from my NIPT test. I keep refreshing the page even though it's only been four days since they received it at the lab. After TW losses TW I truly don't care about the sex. I just want to make sure baby is healthy in there.
Questions: Did anyone buy a cute holiday maternity dress? From where? I don't have a large bump yet, but I've always wanted to be pregnant at Christmas, so I want to go all out and look like a crushed velvet blimp.
GTKY: Best show you've watched recently? I'm watching the final season of The Crown right now.
@maggiemadeit You're inspiring me to get back to the gym! How often do you work out? I was so active with my first, but that is not the case this time around.
@curlyandpreggo I'm glad that you're feeling better. I also love Only Murders In the Building. Such a great show!

@sbaby2023 Congratulations on your BOY! I agree, boy names are hard!
@elle-0409 I try to do some kind of movement for at least 30 minutes every day, but realistically I usually only make it 5 or 6 days a week. Sometimes it's a walk or yoga if my energy is low, but if I'm feeling good I usually hop on the peloton and do some strength training.
How are you feeling?: I’ve got a bit of a cold right now but otherwise good
Rants/Raves: I go back to work from my first mat leave right after Christmas and the lady who runs a daycare out of her home said she “maybe” can take my son full time 😭 I’ve been sending him a couple times a week for just mornings so he can get used to daycare and now I’m freaking out if she can’t actually take him full time
Questions:
GTKY: Best show you've watched recently? I just finished New Amsterdam on Netflix and it was really good! Also watching the Crown right now and it’s so sad 😢
How are you feeling?: slightly better, finally. I didn’t throw up today, but in general I’ve had more energy and less nausea. Hoping this trend continues.
Rants/Raves: rave: NIPT results were low risk, rant: I’m super anxious about telling people about this pregnancy, which is different than how I felt with my others. Maybe I’m worried people will judge me for having 4 kids in an area where it’s not that common. Also, most of my friends are done having kids and will be surprised about this pregnancy. Ugh. I have my monthly dinner with girlfriends tonight and it would be an ideal time to tell them, but I’m not sure I feel up for it because of my anxiety.
Questions: Creative ways to tell parents and siblings? We need to tell my in-laws and our other kids soon because I’m getting big.
GTKY: Best show you've watched recently? Just finished the most recent season of Bosch
Upcoming Appointments: not yet scheduled but should be week of Christmas
How are you feeling?: less gaggy. I haven't yet told anyone and kind of dreading it. Last pregnancy I was so excited to share the news. I think I'm just worried about telling work. I'm sure everyone will be supportive but I kind of like having the secret.
Rants/Raves: currently getting snow!!
Questions: not today.
GTKY: Best show you've watched recently? I don't watch much TV but we started the Heartland series 🙃
Upcoming Appointments: I had my 12 week scan/appointment last week; all looks great! Next appt is in 4 weeks.
How are you feeling?: Good! I didn't realize quite how awful I was feeling until I started feeling better. Nausea has mostly subsided, and I have some energy back (though I still want to go go bed at 8:30).
Rants/Raves: I've been having a bad/metallic taste in the back of my mouth. We were under a boil water notice last week and bought a bunch of bottled water. The bad taste went away but came back when I started drinking our water again. So, apparently our water has a taste that only my pregnancy super taste buds can taste? Sorry to the environment, but I'll be drinking bottled water for a while.
Also, we told our boys about the baby last week, and they're so excited, especially my 4 year old. He's been telling everyone he comes in contact with that he's going to be a big brother.
Questions:
GTKY: Best show you've watched recently? Black Cake on Hulu. I tried reading the book a few months ago but couldn't get into it. The show is really good, though.
Married: May 2012 DS1: May 2016 DS2: Jan 2019 Baby #3 EDD: 6/18/24
@jenEP I had an ornament made (from Etsy) for my in-laws. It had the names of all their grandkids and "Baby Lastname # 3" on the bottom.
I wrapped up a baby Christmas sleeper for my boys. When they opened it and looked confused, we told them there was going to be a baby in our family next Christmas.

How are you feeling?: dealing with round two of stomach bug... So pretty rough lol
Rants/Raves:
Questions:
GTKY: Best show you've watched recently? I guess it's a movie, but it was split in like 3 or 4 episodes some Im going to go with "All the Light we Cannot See"
Team blue/pink/green: accidentally found out it's a boy! A little sad that I accidentally spoiled it for myself before our reveal, but my husband still doesnt know
Upcoming Appointments:
1/2/23
How are you feeling?:
Not great, I've been dealing with a UTI and a yeast infection, but the meds are helping!
Rants/Raves:
I feel like an idiot for revealing the gender to myself, it was an honest mistake, I thought the doctor said he would remove the gender from the results, but I accidentally looked at them before the doctor reviewed it.
Questions: Advice for a first time boy mom?
GTKY: Best show you've watched recently? I've been rewatching Parenthood, and no the irony isn't lost on me, lol. But it's a great show (on Hulu), it's funny, a little dramatic, but also handles a lot of tough topics
@hrjackson7 I have a 14 month old boy! My boy peed right after taking off his diaper almost every time when he was a newborn for be prepared for that! I tried the trick where you use a wipe across their belly right above their diaper to make them pee before you take it off but it never worked 😂😂 I was constantly cleaning pee off my wall
How are you feeling?: actually pretty good right now. My fatigue has dropped off a bit, as has the nausea. I have been getting some more heartburn lately. And likely not pregnancy related but my hands are extremely dry, cracked and causing bleeding 😔
Rants/Raves:
Raves: getting to slowly get the word out that we are expecting. Everyone has been so happy and it feels good to know how loved our little one is already. Also had my 12 week ultrasound yesterday and just seeing the baby’s profile made me cry tears of joy.
Questions:
GTKY: Best show you've watched recently?
The final season of Succession kept us on the edge of our seats! We’ve also been watching The Santa Clauses Season 2 on Disney+ which was fun!
