Pregnancy and fibroids

Is one currently pregnant with fibroids if so how are you dealing with it?

Re: Pregnancy and fibroids

  • I have fibroids and am 18w4d. I haven’t done anything about them. The doctor just monitors them when I have my appointments to make sure they don’t get too large, but otherwise they said they will leave them alone. If after 6 months postpartum they haven’t shrunk they may go in and remove them, but they said there isn’t anything to worry about

  • I am 14 weeks and have a 7cm fibroid. During my US at 8.5 weeks I had to have a vaginal US instead of over the belly because it was blocking the view of the baby. That was my last US so I’m curious to see if it has changed. Sometimes I’ll feel a stabby pain on my lower left side of my pelvis but it’s not super painful and doesn’t last long. If I’m sitting or laying down, I change positions and that usually relieves it. There was one time while I was traveling with work and slept on a hard hotel bed and woke up to the worst stabbing pain ever like someone legit stabbed me on my side. Lasted like 30 seconds. I am wondering if it had to do with the bed or if it was degeneration. Hasn’t happened since. I guess I’ll know for sure when I finally get my next US in about a couple weeks.
  • I have a few, including a 7cm one. I’ve been told the biggest concern is delivery since one sits right where they’d make a normal c-section cut. But we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
