Do not use Deacon, it's a title given to certain people in the Church
  Its a terrible name anyway. 

Bryson is a great name, don't settle on a NN.  Sonny is not good.  Sorry.  

My kiddo was called by a NN then in 2nd grade she asked not to be called that and wants to ne called her full name.

I like Dawson best and don't think it needs a nickname. Maybe one will feel natural but don't force it
