Implantation vs period

Hi I was curious I got a period in May and it was heavy period so when I found out I was pregnant I gave that last menstrual period to the doctor and according to my first ultrasound it matched with my last period. So is it safe to say that may period wasn’t implantation? If it was I would have been farther along correct?
