Re: Weekly Check In 11-20

  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 32 weeks, 4 days. Jan 11th

    FTM/STM/TTM+: First Time

Baby is the size of a (an): Squash

    Team blue/pink/green: Pink

Upcoming Appointments: Normal (now bi-weekly) OB appt tomorrow.

How are you feeling?: Ok. Hips are feeling a little better this week, but still going to mention it to my OB tomorrow to see if she has any recs for easing the discomfort. Nesting is starting to kick in which is exciting! Went through 3 HUGE boxes of baby hand-me-downs from family over the weekend, and washed, folded and put away so many clothes, swaddles, etc. Haven't even had my shower yet and this baby already has so. much. stuff. lol.

Rants/Raves: Not really a rant per say, but more of a worry. My Dad was diagnosed with a hereditary heart condition last week, and when my parents told the cardiologist that I'm pregnant she recommended that I get an echocardiogram just in case I inherited the condition. I felt like things were going a little TOO smoothly with this pregnancy and my health and just anxious now about my Dad's health and anxious to get tested and see if this will effect delivery or baby.

Questions: Nothing really- how is everyone else out there feeling?

How are you feeling?: a little overwhelmed! My BP has been high, and I’ve been swelling with water retention the past week… I am officially off work today and apparently I’m looking at being induced December 14 😱 I guess I am sad I’m not a 2024 mom.

Rants/Raves: I have 3 weeks to finish everything. Ahhhh. I’m still gathering last minute things (humidifier, some pacifiers, etc)

Is anyone else feeling the time crunch?

@rae Here’s hoping everything continues to go smoothly! It’s good to get yourself tested to make sure though. Fingers crossed for your family

  • Oh my goodness!! Exciting to meet baby soon but yes I would be feeling more pressure. The first few weeks I really needed diapers, meals dropped off, my recovery and bathroom stuff, nipple shields, breastfeeding and tiene knowledge, burp cloths, baby clothes, a don't seat so I could sit comfortably, and robes or jammies that open bc baby was on boob so often

Never used baby room for first year, never did pacifiers

May I ask- did they say why they want to induce you? Or was it something you requested?
