  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 5/2 17 weeks this week

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Baby is the size of a (an): pomegranate
    Team blue/pink/green: pink
    Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday!
How are you feeling?: physically fine. If I don’t eat well I still get nauseous occasionally.
Rants/Raves: I’m excited for Thursday, we are making a lot of food!
Rant is I’ve been feeling pretty down & lonely lately. Like I have people around me but I’m not feeling fulfilled. And I don’t have the extra money right now to go out and do things I enjoy. Meh.
    Questions: nope

GTKY: What is your favorite thanksgiving food item?
This is hard for sure, but I think I have to go with mashed potatoes & gravy! I hope I’m allowed to help make them again this year, one year my SIL made them so gluey and flavorless I was so sad lol! I’m also making/eating pecan pie for the first time and I hope it comes out good!

  • EDD / Weeks + Days: May 8th / 15 weeks 6 days

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

Baby is the size of a (an): Avocado

(Only If you know already!) Team blue/pink/green: Green 😊

    Upcoming Appointments: anatomy ultrasound 12/22

How are you feeling?: Overall good! Weekends can be hard to get in a groove of what I am in the mood for doing. Social events are getting a little challenging when everyone is drinking - it can feel a bit isolating.

Rants/Raves: my skin has been pretty rough this entire pregnancy - hoping it clears up soon. 😊 I've been using as many "clean" skincare products as possible.

    Questions: N/A

GTKY: What is your favorite thanksgiving food item? Stuffing or mashed potatoes - so excited for Thursday!

Baby is the size of a donut. Almost an avocado.

Team blue. Still don’t have any good name prospects. lol.

Upcoming appointments: 12/6 anatomy ultrasound. I’ll be a day shy of 18 weeks but I think they just wanted to get me in before Christmas. Hopefully they can see everything they’re looking for.

Feeling: better. Only a little morning sickness before lunch now. I’m completely exhausted though, and reflux is already bad.

Rant: headaches. And also, the only maternity jeans I can find in my budget are skinnies. Apparently they don’t want us pregos to try new styles. Old navy is sold out of my size in other styles.

Rave: I love feeling him move regularly now.

GTKY. I don’t know. Sweet potato casserole? Stuffing? Pumpkin pie? Gonna eat all the carbs over the holidays in case I get a GD diagnosis in February. Lmao.
  • @mar11btf my skin is bad too! Im also trash at washing my face and I usually let pimples go away on their own so I’m looking a bit like a teen atm lol

@HGRich i loveeeee skinny jeans. I always struggle with finding jeans that fit me right! But they should definitely keep other styles better in stock!!
Your anatomy is so soon!! I’ll be 21 weeks at mine 🙈 my sons was at 19! But I’m sure they’ll get everything they need for you at 18 ☺️
  • My skin has been a mess
too but I recently started using cerave acne foaming face wash, and it’s helping. It has benzoyl peroxide which is pregnancy safe

Kind of getting worried about my BP. I had high BP on and off with my son and ultimately got induced for it. Last couple of days my vision has been getting worse. But I am also on my phone way more than I should be. I’ll see what my BP is tomorrow at my appt but of course my brain is going to every worst case scenario there is.
  • @virtaur does your doc have you on baby aspirin for bp? I’ve never had any bp issues with pregnancies before but because I’m advanced maternal age my doc has me on it. But also I think they should just send pregos home with a bp cuff of their own.

@HGRich yes! I’ve been taking it for about a month now. & I agree!! I had one last time but it got lost somewhere during my move. I’ll probably get a new one! It was crazy to me because it was 2020 so for the second tri I only had video appts. So I took my BP at home but they didn’t  require it!!
  • Midwife wasn’t worried about my BP & baby was active & has a nice HB of 155 💗 feeling relieved!
