Brown Discharge

Hi all,

On Friday, I found out that I am pregnant. It is believed that I am around 4 weeks. On the 11th of Nov, I had brown, light bleeding that lasted 3 days and thought this was implantation bleeding. When I took my test on Friday and wiped, I had brown discharge again.

This has lasted the weekend. The last time I went to the toilet it had gone so fingers crossed it is the end. It was a very light brown, hardly noticeable and sometimes looked a bit stringy. I’ve had the normal odd cramps that I’ve been having for the last 2 weeks.

I took another test this morning and it seemed lighter than the two I took on Friday but I am very hydrated as I’ve been drinking so much water since finding out I’m pregnant so I think that may be why.

Has anyone had this please and everything has been okay? Ringing the doctors tomorrow to tell them I’m pregnant and that I’ve had the brown discharge. I’m hoping they’ll check me over.

I think as long as it’s not a red discharge then you’re alright. Sometimes we discharge white, clear, yellow and sometimes even brown and that’s a sign our body is doing the task of keeping baby healthy. I think definitely ring your doc, but don’t worry too much because I think it’s normal what you’re going through. Unless it becomes red like blood, then don’t panic. Cramping is also normal to have during pregnancy
